The BYTE Fiasco

Joanne Dow is a very old friend. She is a communications engineer, a veteran of the Genie days, and has a wealth of experience.

She has taken up the task of documenting the subject of Islam, particularly as regards women. I do not agree with everything she says. Joanne has both detractors and fans. Her diatribes tend to be long, and there are a lot of them, so I have decided to give them their own pages. This is the second such page. The first is here.

I will fill in some past editions over time. I also update this in batches rather than daily.

I want to make it clear that I do not agree with everything she says, and my views of Islam vary depending on the country and the sect. Joanne generally concentrates on finding the most extreme positions, and it would be easy reading only her posts to get a false impression of the world situation. I'm willing to publish replies but they must be in a reasonable format, at reasonable length, and in language no more intemperate than she employs.

My Turkish friends in particular are appalled at her diatribes. I understand. Most Turkish intellectuals support the Turkish constitution which mandates a secular state, and would strenuously resist imposition of sharia and other strict interpretations of Muslim law. This is not what Joanne complains of. Those who have long known me know that I have a high regard for the Turkish Army. Turkey sent troops to our aid in Korea, and I for one will never forget that.

I post her diatribes because she finds incidents that ought to be thought alarming by everyone, Christian, Muslim, secular humanist, atheist, or indeed anyone civilized.

The New York Times has produced what amounts to a Terrorist's Bill of Rights designed to make their job easier. They title the list, "The Must-Do List". Once done it'll be astoundingly simple to be a terrorist in America. But they see it as a way to make the terrorists not feel like they have to be terrorists anymore.

The New York Times is a FINE example of a main stream media outlet that has been on the wrong side an astonishingly large percentage of the time. They CERTAINLY are not on the side of the United States on this one.

So we have learned that British schools are preaching hatred towards all non-Mohammedans. So this comes as no big surprise. But it is quite reportable. And as Charles Johnson remarks, "This is how you lose a nation."

Charles has posted an update on the article about the girl who wanted to wear a hijab while playing soccer and was kicked out of the game for refusing to take it off. Hijabs obscure vision. That makes it unsafe for her and for other players she might run into because she could not maintain field awareness by looking around. So this remark from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation makes perfect sense, "The FIFA officials remained firm in their intention to not change the regulations." The rest of the CBC article is basically telling readers that the FIFA is wrong and wearing the hijab is the girl's inherent right anywhere and any time her religion requires it. Let's hear it for another main stream media Dhimmi organization. Pander to the extremists and maybe they will go away. It is more likely they'll be emboldened to make even more demands.

Indonesia has always been cited as a beacon example of moderate Mohammedanism. Alas, it seems the extremists are taking over. Of course, in the AP article Robert quotes and comments to the AP phrases it all as if the US is to blame for this. Robert's comments echo mine. Where are the moderate voices, hm? If the religion is being hijacked by extremists then why aren't the Moderates out there trying to stop this on fundamentalist grounds? Is it, perhaps, that the MODERATES were the ones who had hijacked the religion and the extremists who are taking it back?

In a rather long and interesting piece Robert Spencer responds to some criticism received in comments to the Jihad Watch blog. In the criticism some links to modern interpreters of Shari'a law and how they are working towards a more modern and less raw evil Mohammedanism. Robert's comments and replies are quite worth reading.

The main complaint is that Robert always cites OLD scholars, none alive past 1460 AD. This is valid to an extent. Robert notes, however, that it is these old scholars which form the guidance for the "Muslim Brotherhood", "al Qaeda", and even modern Iraq and Saudi Arabia. The more modern interpretations are ones that need support to go main stream as an excuse for Mohammedans to moderate dramatically from the extremist agenda of the middle ages. I hope these modern scholars can stand up to their peers and make their agenda convincing.

Robert notes that these new moderates still have a habit of being supportive of the folks like the jihadist terrorists of Hezbollah. So it is not all as warm and fuzzy as his critic would have people believe. We do, however, see a start. I doubt these new moderates can get their ideas adopted in time to save Mohammedanism - and us - from full scale nuclear war sometime in the future when the extremists become annoying enough.

"It's the demographics, stupid." I think Robert's lead comment was a bit of intense sarcasm. While the Anglican communion argues over gays in the church the Mohammedans are becoming the more dominant religion when you consider attendance. Um, Mohammedans are enjoined to have very large families. Meanwhile the British birth rate for non-immigrants is falling through the floor. "It's the demographics, stupid."

The CBS "60 Minutes" show had a segment on terrorism on the internet. If you are running a terrorist organization you need recruits, especially if suicide bombers are involved. The best recruiting mechanism is the Internet. I wonder if this means the left is starting to figure out that there is a serious problem here that transcends hatred for Bush or for Republicans. Obviously SOME at CBS get it. I hope this trend continues. I don't care who manages the take-down. But radical Mohammedanism must be taken down.

Lancet published a study last year that claimed 650,000 Iraqis had died as a result of the Iraq War. At the time I remember thinking that seemed a little high. Peer review now takes the Lancet report apart and suggests it may even be fraudulent. Simple logic even refutes the claims. Given the 3 for 1 rule for injuries vs. deaths that is usually used for estimating injuries compared to deaths there would be almost 2 million Iraqis in hospitals or seeking medical attention. That simply is not in accord with the actual numbers observed. The peer review went into the report in far more detail with far more precision.

One of my hobby horses is "managed news" rather than "accurate news". When it involves a scientific principle I have a hard time not going ballistic. Global warming is one of those issues. National Geographic has published a serious article about a Russian scientist who believes that almost all the warming seen can be accounted for by similar warming that is seen on Mars concurrently with Earth's "Global Warming."

For a long time I've been saying there is apparent "Global Warming" happening on average across the whole Earth. I also note that in the past the Earth has been quite a bit warmer than it is today. And finally I note that the rate of change of late SEEMS, only seems, to be much more rapid than might be reasonable.

A lot of scientists have noted this and for political reasons gone off blazing a trail of human blame. They are laying a huge guilt trip on the already overloaded with guilt Western culture. (The Western culture's rampant guilt is leading it to its own destruction, too. But that is another rant.)

These scientists are doing us, the world's population, a massive disservice pandering to the alarmist politicians who are in a position to gain power and wealth from the blame game. They are distracting us, the world's population, from what we should be doing, coping.

If you are in an earthquake, tornado, hurricane, fire, or any other disaster sitting down and pointing fingers of blame do no good. If you do that the disaster becomes worse from neglect of the coping response that needs to take place. Acknowledge a problem, define it, define what must be done to mitigate it, define a subset that is technically feasible, define a further subset that is economically feasible, define an even smaller subset of things you can do that are affordable, then, by God, go do them. Sitting whining about blame is not going to help when the problem is of a magnitude that may destroy London, New York, Florida, NOLA (yet again), and most other low land in the world. The Dutch will need to reinforce their dykes. Much of the prime real estate in the world may submerge. We need to define what is most likely and what we can do worst case. Then solve the freaking problem.

The National Geographic article shows why it is silly to assign blame. Other articles have suggested that if humans vanished from the Earth the disaster would still happen. (Um, but would it be a disaster if nobody was there to hear it when Florida floods over?)

My engineering and scientific talents lie outside the climate modeling field to be sure. So all I can do, really, is finger the evidence that is suggesting "we have a problem." We need to redirect the scientists from the blame game to better analysis of how bad it's going to be, 1' ocean rise, 10', 100'? Then we need to start asking the engineers what we can do about the problem. Just stop the blame game. It does not serve us.

Charles Johnson takes it a step further in a different direction than I tend to think. He reminds us of the end of Michael Crichton's book, "State of Fear." He reminds us a similar very well accepted and accorded episode of political junk science, eugenics. He mentions the disaster that got us into. We need to remember that history.

Charles has pointed out an article by Orson Scott Card in which he describes "tossing" an audio book. The story itself was not repulsive. But, the background was so historically inaccurate that it ended up destroying his ability to enjoy the story.

The story is set in "Palestine" in 1948. In its background setting the British supplied the minority Jews with massive weapons as they fought against the majority Arabs who were unarmed civilians being tossed off their land. This is PURE far left cant.

Card describes some of the actual history. The British worked VERY hard to prevent the Jews from arming, blocking arms as best the could. The Jews smuggled in everything they had. They were fighting the fully equipped military of three neighboring countries, Jordan, Syria, and Egypt. Furthermore in much of the area earmarked for Israel Jews were a MAJORITY. They became a majority by LEGALLY PURCHASING the land and importing Jews to work on the land and make it productive.

At the end of the war, the reason there was no Palestinian state is not because the Israelis prevented it. It was because the Arab nations prevented it -- Egypt took over the rule of the Gaza Strip and Jordan ruled the West Bank, declaring it to be part of their national territory and suppressing any attempt to create a Palestinian state there.

As for wholesale slaughter of Palestinian civilians by Israelis, it didn't happen. Nowhere, not in 1948, and not since then. A lot of people think it has happened because of propaganda. Like when the media was full of reports, during the intifadeh, that Israelis had massacred hundreds or thousands of Palestinians in Jenin. Later, sober investigation showed that no such thing had happened -- that, on the contrary, Israelis had suffered needless casualties on their own side because of the extraordinary lengths they went to to prevent civilian casualties on the other side.

And that's just the start of it. He fisked Steve Berry right and proper, he did. (Wikipedia the term "fisking" if you don't recognise it.) It's all part of the Western culture's growing self-hatred that is gnawing at its soul and destroying it. Give up guilt for Lent, perhaps? You might discover you like the feeling.

Even fiction can promote propaganda. And it seems an accomplished author who sees another author skimp on proper background research tends to get rather "exercised" over it. Card's article rather demonstrates this fact. It also is worth reading for the "fact update".

Ali Eteraz replied to Robert Spencer, again. And Robert Spencer takes him on point by point where he took issue with Eterat. The result is LONG and informative. Many of the first couple dozen comments are also well worth reading if you have the time.

One argument Spencer does not use is a simple obvious one. If the real Mohammedanism is what Eterat says it is, why do the Jihadists have such an apparently easy time taking moderate Mohammedans and radicalize them into suicide bomb carrying nutcases? Even if Eterat is 100% correct, he is not convincing the people that need convincing, other Mohammedans. If he wants our respect so badly as he appears to want it then he'd best be out there making sure the radical imams are derailed and discredited with his fancy advanced modern interpretations of the Qur'an, Hadith, and Sunnah.

A history lesson covering the History of Jihad against the Serbs, Croats, and Albanians from 1389 to 1920. The Mohammedan bad side is rather dramatically revealed in the accounts of the wars of the period, virtually through the present. And even THEY admit to the perfidy and lies the Mohammedans used to win their battles.

Did I mention that trusting a Mohammedan who is not EXTREMELY moderate is playing with fire? Maybe I didn't. Consider it said now. There was some trust put in Yemen in allowing it to have custody over Mohammedan extremists who were imprisoned. Yemen just released 100 of them, including 19 who fought with Zarqawi. Maybe someday we'll learn to grab them when (and if) we can and NEVER let them go. (Guantanamo is too nice and too easy to get out of with the state of US jurisprudence and rapacious lawyers willing to work against the country and for the enemies of all mankind.

Surprise Surprise, the Times Online has an article describing some of the aid given to the Somali Mohammedans by other Mohammedan countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Eritrea, Iran, and so forth. Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a rather extraordinary woman who has managed to move forward from her birth in a Somali clan to a resident, citizen, and former MP in Holland. She appeared at the Wohlstetter Conference Center in Washington DC for the American Enterprise Institute. In her presentation she explains how she came to write of her life in her book "Infidel". She made a 7 minute presentation then filled out the hour with question and answer. She is a fascinatingly extraordinary woman. It is hard to believe she is a former Somali Mohammedan for whom 9/11 led to some introspection, investigation, and rejection of Mohammedanism. Her advice is well worth heeding. Note that she is dead set against the poison of multi-culturalism.

AEI: Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali

###

One of the items Ayaan touches on in presentation above is the way Mohammedans stifle and refuse to allow any discussion of imperfections in the ideology. Serge Trifkovic also discusses this on Front Page Magazine's site. (Of course, he uses the current favorite pseudo-con whipping boy for a foil.)

Furthermore, D'Souza uses "Islamophobia" with the implicit assumption that the term's meaning is well familiar to his readers. For the uninitiated it is nevertheless necessary to spell out its formal, legally tested definition, however. It is provided by the European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC), a lavishly-funded organ of the European Union. Based in Vienna, this body diligently tracks the instances of "Islamophobia" all over the Old Continent and summarizes them in its reports. The Monitoring Center's definition of Islamophobia includes eight salient features:

1. Islam is seen as a monolithic bloc, static and unresponsive to change. 2. Islam is seen as separate and "other." 3. Islam is seen as inferior to the West, barbaric, irrational, primitive and sexist. 4. Islam is seen as violent, aggressive, supportive of terrorism and engaged in a clash of civilizations. 5. Islam is seen as a political ideology. 6. Criticisms made of the West by Islam are rejected out of hand. 7. Hostility towards Islam is used to justify discriminatory practices towards Muslims and exclusion of Muslims from mainstream society. 8. Anti-Muslim hostility is seen as natural or normal.

This definition is obviously intended to preclude any possibility of meaningful discussion of Islam. The implication that Islamophobia thus defined demands legal sanction is a regular feature of the Race Relations Industry output. It also routinely refers to "institutional Islamophobia" as an inherent social and cultural sickness of most Western societies that needs to be rooted out by education, re-education, and legislation. In reality, of course, all eight proscribed statements are to some extent true. As I have argued in these pages and elsewhere,

Sulejman Talovic, the Trolly Square shooter, left almost nothing behind him to indicate why he went on his rampage. He left no notes and didn't have a computer.

A TV station has interviewed his father, who has relatively poor English making him hard to understand. The father believes somebody had influenced his son. He describes a personality change that is not inconsistent with changes seen in other converts to jihadi views. And the mosque at which he attended prayers has produced at least one other radical in the past.

Hugh Fitzgerald touches on the lackluster, nay downright disgraceful, record of Mohammedans in science and medicine. He asserts the reason for this is the basic Mohammedan education that teaches students how to not think. So with their critical faculties turned off the Mohammedans are hopeless when it comes to advancing science.

The assorted crazinesses and conspiracy theories (I like best that well-known one about Neil Armstrong hearing the azan on the moon -- one giant step for Homo Islamicus, apparently) that are widely believed in the Islamic world provide yet another example of the susceptibility to lunatic ideas and the most absurd rumors among populations of people who have been brought up in societies where they are deliberately taught not to think.

For Islam teaches that Allah must never be questioned. The products of his will or whim are simply there. Ours not to reason why, for Allah Knows Best. And that is how the ask-mr-fatwas sites, in giving their opinions which have the effect of unappealable rulings to the inquiring ("Can I wear a bouffant hairdo?" "Can I defecate in a toilet if the water in the bowl is still?" "Can I inherit property from the parents of my 'reverted' spouse?") always conclude: Allah Knows Best.

"The habit of mental submission leads not only to susceptibility to every kind of crank belief, or even to the entertaining of two separate and contradictory beliefs."

Once he demonstrates the "can't think critically" thesis he moves on to the Mohammedan arrogance. "Muslims are inculcated with and exhibit a sense of superiority: we are Muslims, we are the Best People (cf. Qur'an 3:110), "Islam must dominate and is not to be dominated," Allah will prevail and Muslims have a right to, and will, rule everywhere."

He proposes using the disaffection and sense of conflict between the lack of ability to match the West in achievement with the concept that Mohammedans are superior critters as leverage for at least grabbing the attention of those few intelligent Mohammedans who can still think.

The headline indicates the planned super-mosque right outside the London Olympics venue is going to be turned down by the planning commission. At best I'd say it MAY be turned down.

With this report going public look for the Mohammedans to weep, wail, whine, and war over it. Yes, I expect violence in addition to the usual three "W" response of the Mohammedans to anything they don't like.

This seems to be a moderately slow day. So how about some sexual entertainment. No, not that kind. I was thinking of entertaining reading about Mohammed's sex life. 11 wives at one time, marrying 9 year old girl, and even marrying your adopted son's wife sounds like some level of sexual indulgence well beyond the norms of society today. But that is not all. He also had slaves. And forcing sex on slaves was kinda neat, too, eh? Read about it.

Charles Johnson is in fine humor tonight. He is redesigning his own bloging system. He's stressed out and meeting with some success. Like me, this puts his humor systems into high gear. So we get this phrasing for a report on the capture of a fleeing terrorist leader.

That's all true too. The man captured was a supposed expert bomb maker named Mullah Mahmood.

Many sources today are remarking about how Bashar Assad is foaming at the mouth mad at Ahmadinejad over the recent telephone conversation in which Ahmadinejad "displeased" Assad over the international tribunal that is demanded for investigating the murder of Rafik Hariri in Lebanon. With this introduction from Robert Spencer at Jihad Watch I highly recommend the following article to your. "Every feminist should know Phyllis Chesler's story. And every defender of human rights should stand with her. "How my eyes were opened to the barbarity of Islam: Is it racist to condemn fanaticism?," by Phyllis Chesler in the TimesOnline,"

It describes her life married to a handsome Afghani who took her home to Kabul. She learned the cardinal rule, do NOT marry a Mohammedan no matter how modern, moderate, and urbane he may seem. Above all NEVER let them take you out if your own country to theirs. You learn about their Jekyll and Hyde personalities.

Michelle Malkin notes that YouTube has been banned in Turkey because of uncomplimentary videos about the country and its founder. But that's not the interesting news there. Michael J. Totten goes on the record with IDF Intelligence about the recent Lebanese events that basically ended rather inconclusively for Israel. He does so anonymously. The officer is still serving in the IDF and therefore does not want to be identified.

David (a pseudonym) works in a fire control unit stationed in the Northern Command. During the war he managed intelligence pertaining to Hezbollah rocket fire, selected targets for air and artillery strikes, and occasionally assisted in real-time control of fire. He is familiar with some of the high-level decision-making and hints at some of what he knows that is officially classified.

It appears the Air Force general who was leading the IDF at the time of the Lebanese conflict really hashed up the job in all too typical raw ignorance of how to use a different branch of the military, the infantry. Good plans existed. They were never executed. And it gets worse! Read it. It's red raw meat.

If you think we have problems in this country with our education system infiltrated by extreme socialists and Communists consider what the secular Egyptians have to deal with. The Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated the Egyptian schools and taken over the curriculum. They are teaching hatred, Mohammedanism as the state and the religion, and a readiness for violent Jihad.

In case you are utterly out of it and have not noticed it we are facing this problem here in the US. The Mohammedans are working at taking over our colleges. PR campaigns and our courts are becoming very powerful tools in the hands of radical Mohammedans. They've hired a Montreal PR firm that admits to targeting PR attention towards judges in cases that could turn favorable directions for terrorist captives.

Mr. (Richard) Levick (the high-stakes media guru) maintains that a year and a half after they began the campaign, their PR outreach produced literally thousands of news placements and that, eventually, a majority of the top 100 newspapers were editorializing on the detainees' behalf. Convinced that judges can be influenced by aggressive PR campaigns, Mr. Levick points to rulings in the detainee cases which openly cite news stories that resulted from his team's media outreach.

On the first reading all I saw was irony in the report that the "Rape Sheikh" Hilali (the one who likened women not in burqas to uncovered meat on the street) and other radical imams in Australia were being muzzled by the Lebanese Muslim Association. And they are whining about it.

Upon revisiting it the "Next Question" dawned on me, "Why?" Why is the association telling them to tone it down? Why do they think it is not at all necessary to tone it down? And why is this making the media?

I can think of reasons that range from Hilali being "radical" simply to push attention to this unsavory aspect of Mohammedanism to get it shut down before it does real damage to Hilali and his cronies figuring they are strong enough now that they do not NEED to be polite about their intentions to subject Australia to Shari'a law.

Personally the only way I could approve of their being shut down is if citizenships were revoked or nullified and they were shipped off to another nation. (If no other nation will take them then send them out 200 miles in a rowboat and let them find their salvation on their own initiative. Well, yeah, that is extreme. But why should a nation that they have reviled and attempted to subvert give them anything more?)

With that in mind the five Mohammedan "charity" operators have now been formally charged with three counts of money laundering, one count of forfeiture and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering for the Islamic American Relief Agency-the IARA. And CAIR seethes. My little parenthetical comment above should apply in the US as well. If they feel they owe us dissension, destruction, terrorism, subversion, and subjugation why should we feel that we owe them even the time of day let alone a clean prison cell. It's extreme but that rowboat does get them out of this country. Maybe parachute them into their native countries from a "safe" (for the plane) altitude so it's harder to refuse the returned defective merchandise?

Oh my, it appears the Iranian general who defected may have escaped with his life in a more accurate description of events. He had been spying for the West for years. Which "The West" is unknown. Mossad is alleged to have arranged his exit. He was involved with the terrorism work that Iran supports and sponsors. It is not thought that he was in the loop with the nuclear program.

"A daring getaway via Damascus was organized by western intelligence agencies after it became clear that his cover was about to be blown. Iran's notorious secret service, the Vavak, is believed to have suspected that he was a high-level mole."

Some questions matter and some do not. When debating Mohammedans about the Qur'an they will use your ignorance of details to refute your argument quite spuriously to any truth involved. One such detail, that Hugh Fitzgerald mentions, is the ordering of the chapters or suras in the Qur'an. It is logical to think they are chronological or at least roughly chronological. This is wrong. They are by in large in reverse order of size with few exceptions. The most notable exception is the first sura. Once you know the chronological ordering of the chapters the concept of abrogation, which figures heavily in reading the Qur'an, helps you to figure out some of its apparent inconsistencies. In this regard it is important to know that the ultra-militant sura 9 was one of the last two dictated by the illiterate epileptic Mohammed.

Read it and giggle. "A LEADING Muslim cleric has blamed the drought, climate change and pollution on Australians' lack of faith in Allah. Radical sheik Mohammed Omran told followers at his Brunswick mosque that out-of-control secular scientific values had caused environmental disaster." From there it gets crazier yet. It also gets ominous as the sheik urges Mohammedans to take over by out-breeding Aussies. (This is a problem we face here, too. It is a different take on the Malthusian disaster scenario. Westerners are breeding WAY too slowly compared to the Mohammedans.)

This clip is amazing. I must make time to watch the whole CSPAN interview with Pamela Hess. It is just absolutely amazing what she expresses and how she expresses it. We damaged Iraq. Most of the people in Iraq are not of a terrorist stripe. But after stripping away all the law enforcement the "crips" and the "bloods" equivalents in Iraq ran rampant. Now we have to put them down so that the sane Iraqis can pull it all back together and get on with making something for themselves.

It'd be nifty if we could also arrange it so that this first iteration of their government with its radicals in power can be put away along with all the other radicals in Iraq. We'd have done what any civilized people should do after making a mess. Of course, the Democrats are not civilized, at least their leadership is not, so the Democratic Congress and Senate will pull no punches trying to get us out too early for anything good to happen for the Iraqis.

###

I spent part of the evening watching over Loren's shoulder as he watched this month's three freebie videos from Zeno's Warbird site about WW-II aviation. I am struck by several things, some of which still exist and some of which don't. We fought on two fronts and obliterated two powerful, but resource limited, enemies. We fought with audacious tactics often thinking quite outside the box for our victories. We still do that today. (Although we're still learning how asymmetric warfare really works in today's world.)

The big change, however, is that in WW-II we had a pair of well defined enemies to fight each basically located and controlled from one place in the world. In this war we have a distributed enemy that exists in every single country in the world. It, like Nazi Germany and Japan, is fighting us over ideology and religion. In all three cases the lines between religion and political ideology were extremely blurred or even non-existent. BUT, their radicals were not present in our country to any great degree. We could deal with it. The same could be said for most countries around the world.

Today we are fighting an enemy even more implacable, an enemy with a nearly 1400 YEAR history of violence in spread its concepts through conquest and treachery, an enemy that cares not if it lives or dies as long as it "dies for Allah." And that enemy exists, in considerable numbers, in every single country on the planet. And it fights with very little central control. We MUST learn how to fight this. And I don't believe we can keep many of our more cherished Western ideals such as a right to privacy and freedom from governmental snooping. If somebody can offer a plan that can handle indigenous enemies who do not wear a uniform but is actively working to defeat us I'd love to know. I do NOT want to suffer Shari'a law. I do not want to be ruled by crazed Mohammedans who are worshipping a god so crazed as to resemble Satan more than God as we see God.

We need to learn how to fight this kind of enemy with small and highly mobile units that can respond to trouble spots and wipe out the people who create this kind of violence. And we have to be willing to do that here at home as much as we do it elsewhere.

And we need to be willing to commit "ideocide", the annihilation of a very bad ideology. (I realize that is impossible. But we must try. And we must make it HIGHLY unpleasant to espouse and hold that ideology. And maybe dosing bullets with pork fat MIGHT be a GOOD thing. They fight us with terror. Let's feed back to them some terror for Allah's wrath.)

Germany is going Shari'a law quietly and incrementally. Charles has a couple reports about it. Some schools have installed separate entrances for Christians and Jews or for Mohammedans. The litany goes on and Germany falls quietly under Sharia law - at which time they will NOT be friends of ours.

Do remember that the last time Europe and the "Western World" was invaded by Mohammedans it took the very bloody excesses of the Crusades and Inquisition to mostly wipe them out and reclaim the lands for sanity. The sooner we act NOW the less bloody and monstrous we'll have to be in the future.

If you criticize Christianity in the US what happens? Aside from the ribald applause from the lefties and some verbal criticism from some of the more vocal Christians nothing happens. You can criticize Christianity "'til the cows come home" and expect to be able to continue doing it safely for the rest of your life if that's your "thing".

On the other hand, if you criticize Mohammedanism and you gain too big an audience, such as Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Wafa Sultan, Walid Shoebat, Bat Ye'or, Dr. Laura Schlessinger, Glenn Beck, Daniel Pipes, and others, then you have to face the fact that your life is at risk. Mohammedans will, if they get a chance, murder you and justify it with the Qur'an. Many of these people appeared at the recent Moderate Islamic Summit - with armed guards. Many stayed away because the threat to their lives was too great. Ayaan stayed away but managed to sign their statement by way of endorsement, for example.

If you leave Judaism to become a Wiccan, if you leave Christianity to become a Jew, even if you leave Christianity or Judaism to become a Mohammedan nobody is going to do more than accuse you of being stupid. Certainly you are not under any threat to your life.

If you leave Mohammedanism the official Shari'a penalty is death. Since Ayaan chose to leave Mohammedanism publicly she is under a death threat, several death fatwahs as a matter of fact. So, of course, as noted above she stayed away from the Summit.

Susan MacAllen has something to say about this suggesting that the guaranteed free speech in the US may be the last chance to confront radical Mohammedanism in the realm of ideas rather than war. Europe and even Canada are too far gone to allow this level of free speech. (The Summit would have likely run afoul of the Canadian hate speech laws!)

If we, yes you and me, are the cause of the Mohammedan violence then please explain to me how that rationalizes jihadi Mohammedans in the South of Thailand murdering local Christians and Buddhists? Of course, there is no such justification or rationalization. it is the basic religion of Mohammedanism. Fundamentalist Mohammedanism itself is a horrid danger to everyone's life and well-being. Those who can and do eschew the 97% of the religion that is violent and Satanistic are apostates; but, they are also people who are safe to live around. (I say 97% because one study of the Qur'an calculated that 97% of the passages in the Qur'an that mention Jihad also mention violence done to others in its name.)

We are not in the wrong here. They, the violent believers in a violent political ideological religion, who are in the wrong regardless of how they may cite their filthy book to justify their actions.

Thanks to Michael Barone for these two pointers. A group of literary people got together with the President for a luncheon seminar. Both Irwin M. Stelzer and Michael Novak report on the luncheon as two of the people who present.

The discussion veered (perhaps predictably) towards the President's "battle between good and evil." It touched on absolute good and absolute evil. It came up with an unstated and a stated conclusion. I may have misread here. But underneath what both say, particularly when read in the order written (Novak's second), is the unstated concept that indeed absolute good and absolute evil exist as vague undefined concepts. The stated conclusion or formulation came closer to Novak's paragraph here:

There is today an intense battle between good and evil principles. It is correct to focus on good v. evil in this sense. But it would be incorrect to imagine that we ourselves are purely good, without flaw and fault in ourselves. We must not let our imperfection, however, detract from the nobility of the good we serve, and the horrible damage the triumph of an evil principle always wreaks.

Indeed, we are all flawed people. None of us, the "good" team if you will, are perfectly good. We're all flawed, some more than others.

And lest we forget the corollary, the Jihadi Mohammedans are not perfectly evil no matter how much they may look and act like it. (I must admit here that I can think of no examples of goodness they have done without ulterior motives.) The more moderate "street" Mohammedans in Iraq, however, are often very nice people worth doing something for. Maybe they will grow away from the violence of Mohammedanism and simply take the piety and other parts that resonate with "good people" while discarding the rest. Maybe over time the battle of ideals will lead them away from Mohammedanism to what I do not presume to guess.

If we, in our imperfect goodness abandon the Iraqis with their mostly very flawed and imperfect evil that is virtually indistinguishable from our flawed goodness, then we will stand before God as evil men and women. I hope such Christians as the Democratic party may hold realize this. And while I may not be on sound theological grounds for this statement, I do believe a person that cynically relies on God's forgiveness as an out for doing something as heinous as abandoning the majority of the Iraqis, the good folks trying to make a living without murdering their neighbors and helpers, they may find they are trying God's ability to forgive. They will remember and feel the effects of their evil deeds as a weight upon them in their afterlife be it heaven, Hell, or something else. We all forge our own version of Hell here on Earth with our deeds and actions. And having to carry that weight for an eternity might not be desirable. God may forgive. Would I be able to forgive myself of such a sin? I don't know. I don't want to try to find out.

By the way, our illiterate and stupid President is 4 books behind Karl Rove in their informal competition to read the most books this year, 16 to 20. How many of YOU folks have read 16 books regardless of the type?

And what kind of an afterlife are these young children interviewed on Al-Aqsa TV, the children of a woman suicide bomber, forging for themselves in the name of their distorted religion? Is it really virgins they get? Do they get them WITHOUT the memories of what they had done and feeling the pain of those they injured?

That aside, can you see why I feel that if we do not act now we will have to either surrender or commit an utterly monstrous genocide? And it may already be too late to avoid that utter genocide. Is that genocide worse or better than abandoning the world to evil at the level of the Jihadi Mohammedans? Which will be a bigger weight in our afterlives? No way is the "right" way, I fear. But my vote is that abandoning the world to as close to absolute evil as humans can create and commit is worse than trying to stamp out that evil by whatever means, even evil means, that present themselves.

It helps to know Mohammedan history when dealing with the deeply mystical Mohammedans. Iran's president comments about the UN resolution being "torn paper". Hugh Fitzgerald has written an article detailing 10 things we must keep in mind when thinking about Moderate Mohammedans. (These are just the first sentences of each point. You should read the whole thing to make better sense of it.) It was written some time ago. It is still pertinent today.
1. Not only Muslims, but "islamochristians" objectively promote and push the propagandistic line that disguises the Jihad (evidence of which can be found worldwide), and mislead as to both what prompts that Jihad (not "poverty" or "foreign policy" but the precepts of the belief-system of Islam) and what will sate it (not Kashmir, not Chechnya, not the absurd "two-state solution," not continued appeasement in France and Holland -- there is nothing that will sate or satisfy it, as long as part of the globe is as yet resistent to the rule of Islam).
2. The word "moderate" cannot be reasonably applied to any Muslim who continues to deny the (real) contents ... of Qur'an, hadith, and sira.
3. What of a Muslim who says -- there are terrible things in the sira and hadith, and we must find a way out, so that this belief-system can focus on the rituals of individual worship, and offer some sustenance as a simple faith for simple people?
4. This leaves the Qur'an. Any "moderate" who wishes to prevent inquiry into the origins of the Qur'an ... anyone who impedes the enterprise of subjecting the Qur'an to the kind of historical inquiry that the Christian and Jewish Bibles have undergone in the past 200 years of inquiry, is not a "moderate" but a fervent Defender of the Faith.
5. The conclusion one must reach is that there are, in truth, very few moderates.
6. The examples to the contrary are both those of individuals, and of whole societies. As for individual Muslims, some started out as mild-mannered and largely indifferent to Islam, and then underwent some kind of crisis and reverted to a much more fanatical brand of Islam.
7. Much the same lesson can be drawn from the experience of whole societies.
8. That is why even the designation of some Muslims as "moderates" in the end means almost nothing.
9. For this reason, one has to keep one's eye always on the objective situation.
10. "There are Muslim moderates. Islam itself is not moderate" is Ibn Warraq's lapidary formulation.

I think it might simply be said that most moderate Mohammedans are really better described as "ignorant" Mohammedans, those who do not really know the Qur'an, Hadith, and Sunnah. There are very few real people who are educated in Qur,an, Hadith, and Sunnah and can still be called "moderates."

Then a sane person works the numbers. 665 over 5 years is only 135 per year. 240 convictions is only 48 per year. With 140,000 over there how about the crime spree here hey? Why that's a rate of one actual criminal per nearly 10,000 soldiers. And less than one in a thousand are accused of anything. Um, what's the average crime rate in Los Angeles, New York, Detroit, Chicago, or (gasp) Washington DC? What percentage of THEIR populations are involved in crimes? I wonder....

"Sheikh Gamal Al-Bana (b. 1920) is the younger brother of Sheikh Hassan Al-Bana, founder of the Muslim Brotherhood movement." And the Muslim Brotherhood is one of those kinda "out there" organizations. But, this radical Mohammedan is radical in strange ways. He still thinks that the Qur'an must rule at any cost. But he also things that the only sure document is the Qur'an. None of the side documents, the Hadith (sayings of Mohammed) or the Sunnah (annecdotes about Mohammed), are reliable. And Mohammedanism must be brought into the modern world.

One of the features of modern Mohammedanism is that "ijtihad", which is the use of independent judgment in matters of religious law. It was through a few centuries of ijtihad that the current system of Shari'a came to be as it is now. Then the "door to ijtihad" was closed for the last thousand year, in a rather typical precedent crazed law school manner. It froze never to change again. Al-Bana thinks this is wrong, that the door should still be open and religious law be made adaptable to modern conditions.

On the other hand this complex person praised the destruction of the twin towers and partial destruction of the Pentagon in the 9/11 attacks. So while he supports one good idea he also supports a massively bad one. The latter, mostly, because it is firmly justified by verses in the Qur'an, verses that al Qaeda has included in their videos.

One of his points of departure from modern radical Mohammedan is with the teachings of Sayyid Qutb, the father of the modern Jihadi movement, from within the Muslim Brotherhood. It is Qutb who removed the "for defense" part of Jihad. (Although in practice he simply adopted the stance that any thwarting of any Mohammedan's wishes or any slightest disrespect is a de facto attack on the ideology.)

MEMRI has a review of both some of his liberal stances and some of his more conservative stances. It gives a background for where one of the more historically important figures in modern Mohammedanism stands. It should help understand many of the complexities we see in dealing with the Mohammedans, moderate, liberal, and radical. (Incidentally, I rather like the application of term "liberal" to the ideology, in the sense of turning away from the vast body of violent literature most of the major branches of the ideology follow.)

This paper is an important read. This man is an important man. He is pointing out a road, a logic, that could bring the religion into the 21st century and make it match, in civilized spirit, the rest of the world. His start will have to be extended. But his start must be nurtured. I believe this is one of the most important roads we have today to a future without massive thermonuclear war in a pogrom to wipe out Mohammedans as they try to wipe us out with like levels of mass destruction. His approach is an approach that has been sticking in my mind from way back in high school days when I read that "this evil religion" (as I thought of it after reading the first several chapters of the Qur'an (ironically the more recently written chapters by-in-large) had actually improved the status of women and of dealing with a person's peers. If a resurgence of THAT spirit, as Al-Bana argues, can take place it may push the religion as a whole forward to a much better level on which it can compete with other religions on a civilized level if ideas rather than swords and lances.

In Niger the traditional tribal chiefs are condemning child marriage in a break with the country's Mohammedan rulers. Well, we expect pharmacists to sell drugs their religion declares to be evil. We expect male clerks to be comfortable ringing up female hygiene products. We expect cashiers to ring up whatever the store sells if a customer brings it to the cashier. But in Minneapolis the Mohammedans are now declaring that they can't and won't ring up pork products in the grocery stores where they work.

Well, Fatima or Achmed, you can bloody well ring up what is brought to your register or find another job, preferably in another country. Why in heck are the Target stores merely reassigning the employees rather than tossing 'em on their ears? Target is merely asking for more problems from these employees in the future.

It is time to shut our immigration doors completely then reopen them just a wee tiny bit to keep our population just barely stable. (And we should institute a nasty tax at child four for a family unless any children after three came as part of the birthing that produced child three. Tax breaks for one, two, and three. Tax penalties for four, five, and above on a exponentially increasing scale. Even child one should trigger a tax penalty if the parent is under 25, perhaps.)

If you ask our main stream media and our legislators they will tell you that without a doubt Iran is undergoing a massive civil war. The Times of London found out that if you ask the Iraqis themselves the general response is, "what civil war? We much prefer living now rather than under Saddam." As usual our MSM and our Legislators get the story wrong. Ah well, maybe we can learn to laugh at the buffoons as they wreck our lives and our society.

Note that Allahpundit is a little less enthusiastic about the poll results. Allahpundit's take is closer to glass half full/glass half empty. Allahpundits figures are a little wonkity. Families of 10 or 12 children per wife are not uncommon. Figuring from that along with extended families of the size Allahpundit posits we're into the 100 or more people forming a "relative" base. Picking 96, 4 times his 24 figure's estimate reduces the death toll to only some 62.5 thousand people. Even so that number is high enough the person may figure into two or more "relative" groups which might reduce the figure even more. I think it's safe to put total Iraqi deaths since the US moved in at something between Allahpundit's low estimate and my 63 thousand estimate. That is a HUGE lot less than the Lancent figures.

80% of the rapes in a major city in the South of France are committed by Mohammedans.

The Mohammedans have declared outright war on the Swedes in the city of Malmö.

In Norway, local politician Bengt Michalsen had a tape from a surveillance camera clearly identifying two youths as doing damage to a van at a car park. He delivered the tape to the police, and months later received a note that the case had been dismissed because the police didn't have the capacity to prosecute it. According to the local police chief, the public "just had to get used to" the fact the police wouldn't spend time on petty crime.

So, that means that Scandinavians will have to protect our own property, right? Not exactly. The authorities just want us to take it lying down and do nothing.

(It's more like the police are afraid to prosecute. The Mohammedans out number them and are willing to commit extreme violence if they do not get their way with the kafirs.)

How much longer will the Europeans tolerate this? Fjordman is not all that optimistic. Lately Hugh Fitzgerald seems to be veering off on the "j" (imaginary numbers) axis orthogonal to the real number axis) from time to time. This time I happen to agree with him. The right to "free exercise" of religion is not absolute. If it was the Mormons would still legally be allowed to have multiple wives. If a religion declared it was OK to rape women who were out of their homes and not wearing enough stifling clothing that would be just peachy. Oh wait, the Mohammedans think their Shari'a law, which is simply their religious law, should trump secular law. It is time for the government AND the Supreme Court to examine the limits on "free exercise of religion." As with every "freedom" or "right" delineated in the Constitution comes a responsibility to exercise that right with care and responsibility within the basic laws of our society. If your exercise of your religion causes another harm then you should be punished for that harm rather than have your action held unactionable because it was based on your religion.

Hugh's remarks are worth reading. He is a FAR better essayist than me.

Do you remember the Bosnian Muslim immigrant's rampage at a Utah shopping mall a touch over a month ago? Well, more information has been trickling in and Serbianna has just written about it again. It now very much appears this was a pure Jihadi act.

According to the report, the evening before going on a killing spree, the shooter, Bosnian Muslim Sulejman Talovic, told his girlfriend that "Something is going to happen tomorrow that you'll never be able to forgive me about" and that the event will be "the happiest day of his life and that it could only happen once in a lifetime."

Islam considers dying in service of Allah as the highest form of Islamic spiritual sacrifice and such martyrdom is a "happy moment" because it will be greatly rewarded by Islamic God called Allah.

They support this assertion with even more evidence. I hope everybody feels better and more comfortable knowing there are would be "martyrs" like this creep living among us.

Is it proper that I get a sense of Iranian panic starting to appear? They are threatening to kidnap blond and blue eyed American soldiers in retaliation to all the recent high ranking Iranians who supposedly have been kidnapped by the Americans.

There are no indications that we've kidnapped them. But the Iranians surely are losing high ranking military officers left and right. Ali Reza Asgari, a former commander of the Revolutionary Guard's Quds Force and a deputy defense minister, was number 1. Colonel Amir Muhammed Shirazi, another Revolutionary Guard, was number 2. The head of the Revolutionary Guard in the Persian Gulf, believed to be Brigadier General Muhammed Soltani, is reported missing. And the kidnap candidates are several Quds force members thought to have been captured in the Kurdish region of Iraq.

One gets the sense that the regime is coming apart at the seams, and at some of the seams holding together some of the more radical activities that the Iranians support.

No barbarity goes too far. Taliban soldiers have intercepted some Afghan driven US supply trucks and hacked off the noses and ears of the drivers. Of course, they torched the trucks, too.

If you study up on why Temujin (Genghis Kahn) went to war with the Mohammedans and study the progress of that war you'll discover it started because of exasperation at the Mohammedans attacking the Mongol tribes. It turned nasty in response to the nastiness of the Mohammedans. At first Temujin fought as if facing an honorable enemy. Then he discovered the enemy had no honor and total and brutal slaughter was the only way to deal with it. Deal with it he certainly did.

The brutality he and his people adopted eventually came home to roost. The Mongols are now their own enemy, Mohammedans. I hope that does not happen to us, again. It happened with the Crusades. It took a very long time to recover from that trip into brutality. Can we recover again? Should we act NOW before we have to start getting brutal about it?

The radicals at Answer, financed by Soros and company, held a protest in Washington. Yeah, I mentioned it before. The score is Soros maybe 10,000 at the cost of 6 months of planning to Gathering of Eagles 30,000 with a whole four weeks of planning. ALL the Main Stream Media who are bothering to report on the event downplay the GoE numbers by orders of magnitude.

This is a double blow to Answer/Soros. Not only did they fail to come even close to their scheduled 100,000 protesters; but, an ad hoc real grass roots effort to counter protest done on short notice pulled more people in to protect the war monuments from their scheduled desecrations. In case you missed it there is a report of an even sicker than usual new terrorist technique for getting their bombs closer to victims. The new trick has the terrorists loading the car with explosives and a couple children. Then they drive to their intended target. The worst part of the whole picture is the driver and his cohort abandoned the car before it blew up with the children still inside. This is a level of depravity that could only come from fundamentalist Mohammedans.

Want to bet that the drivers were Sunni and the children were Shi'ite? Or maybe it was the other way around? If drivers are escaping it might be really interesting to take several pictures of each car as it goes through the checkpoint. That would assist in making wanted posters for jihadi bombers who abandon the bomb before it blows.

Hm, I just had an even more "paranoid" thought. I wonder if the men were the children's fathers forced into driving the car; and, they got loose before it detonated and at least escaped with their own skins. That would be REAL Mohammedan level sick behavior on the part of those who initiated the bombing.

Marisol has a nice article on Dhimmi Watch about how the Mohammedans in Nigeria are working stifle the growth and practice of Christian churches in Nigeria.

Although the article notes that the Muslim group attempting to seize the church property discussed here "has not even presented a legal pretext," it likely does not believe it needs one, at least with respect to civil law, as Islam teaches that its laws supersede any "man-made" laws. What would matter to them, then, would be dhimma laws articulated in the Pact of Umar, which included Christians' agreement that:

We shall not build, in our cities or in their neighborhood, new monasteries, Churches, convents, or monks' cells, nor shall we repair, by day or by night, such of them as fall in ruins or are situated in the quarters of the Muslims.

This "stuff" is right out of the Qur'an and Shari'a law. THIS is what we are in for if we allow Mohammedans to overstep decent bounds in our country. If they live by our secular law and Constitution with respect for freedom for all then they are welcome. As soon as they start advocating replacing the Constitutional law with Shari'a law - 200 miles off shore in a rubber dinghy for them. (And I am just nasty enough of a person to suggest that avoiding the pollution created by all those rubber dinghies might be a good thing. And let THEM pay for the plane or boat ride out to their dumping er departure spot.)

Investors Business Daily wonders if Congress is fiddling while the Jihadis plan an American Beslan, in spades. They reacted to the casual remark by the FBI that an unusual number of Mohammedans were applying for school bus drivers licenses. He also notes recent incidents in which two Saudi men dressed in trench coats boarded a school bus. Was that a dry run with the school bus licenses an alternative foot in the door? Imagine if a half dozen school busses detonated around the country what it would do to business as a very large portion of the work force dropped out and stayed home to protect and drive the kids.

If you have any doubts about how we will likely have to deal with the cruft called Palestine check out the description of this video from the area about itself. The four year old daughter of a suicide bombing mother vows to follow in her mother's footsteps. The death cult has the people in Palestine so worked up and indoctrinated with hate there'll be no unwinding the situation for at least a couple generations - or a couple nukes. Which should we try first? I vote for moving in NOW to start the unwinding process. But darned if I know where we'd find what is needed to move in there.

Rummie - you were wrong. We need a military about four times the size of what we have, or more. This is a global war we are in. It extends from Dekalb Georgia (see last night's Diatribe) to the "stans", to Indonesia, to Malaysia, to Algeria, to Morocco, to Sudan, and even to Turkey. It will need a whale of a lot of work to alter the situation. And in the mean time we must at least defend ourselves if we can't see fit to be proactive.

Germany is rapidly descending into the status of a country no longer governed by the people who originally lived there. It is turning into a Mohammedan state with its own people as second class, dhimmi, slaves. A German judge has watered down German laws about beating wives by noting both the husband and the wife in a wife beating divorce were Mohammedan, therefore the Qur'an needed to be taken into account. The judge noted that the Qur'an permits a husband to beat his wives - for virtually any reason at all.

What good are a nation's laws if all those who live in the nation are not required to obey the laws? Germany seems to no longer be living under the rule of law. It lives under the rule of "pick the law you like." That is absurd.

Maryam Namazie makes the case for outright banning both the Burqa and the Hijab. She makes some good points that they are symbols if pure sexual apartheid. Since Mohammedans see women as being created "deficient" the burqa and Hijab are two of the first things imposed on a Mohammedan society.

And also why improper veiling, its removal and its burning at demonstrations and gatherings - as often seen in Iran for example - or its removal when one leaves the home - in places where it is not the law of the land but that of self-appointed imams and family members - has become a symbol of resistance.

After the Jihad had trampled Spain in 711 C.E., the Muslim chieftain Emir Musa's dream was to invade further by marching across the Pyrenees ranges into France and meet the Muslims marauding from the east through Byzantium, so that Islam could surround the Mediterranean Sea which would then become a Muslim Lake.

Fortunately the Franks were having nothing to do with this Mohammedan nonsense and managed to hold back the Mohammedan tide's Eastern flank on its invasion of Europe. Reading this gives you a good feel for how utterly consistent the Mohammedan barbarism in war has been. It also gives you an indication of what you face if events come to war with Mohammedans. You win by becoming nastier than they are.

The Franks were the only ones to learn that the terror of the Arab Muslims can be neutralized only by a greater counter-terror. This counter terror has to be a mega-terror or a super-terror to strike fear in the hearts of Muslims that they give up their aggressive mentality on the pain of death

Actually I believe Temujin (Genghis Khan) also learned this in his later attacks on Mohammedans who'd been harrassing the Mongol tribes quite literally for centuries. That is an important lesson, too. It shows the risk of becoming your enemy when you lose your morals and become nastier than those you are fighting.

Lessons from the battle of Poitiers (Tours)

In this battle the Franks (Ferengis) taught a lesson to the Arab Muslims that they had till then taught others. The Frankish infantry almost entirely slaughtered the defeated and fleeing Muslim army. The Franks took no prisoners, they slaughtered all the Muslims who fell into their hands. The Muslims for the first time in their truculent march had met a match that had outmatched them in cruelty.

The rotting corpses of the slaughtered Muslims littered the valley of Poitiers for days, and for years thereafter, travelers saw the heaps of bones that was all that remained to remind the people of this decisive battle for many decades thereafter.

The lesson from the battle of Poitiers is that the terror of the Arab Muslims can be neutralized only by a greater counter-terror. This counter terror has to be a mega-terror or a super-terror to strike fear in the hearts of Muslims that they give up Islam on the pain of death. In the same manner in which they inflicted this bloodied creed on others and were in fact themselves the victim of such an injustice some time or the other, since hardly anyone had converted to Islam by their own free will.

We are civilized. We take prisoners. We even release prisoners. In the fight against Mohammedanism this has been a losing strategy historically speaking. Allowing retreat is another losing strategy.

Britain to Iran, "Release our captured sailors or we'll embarrass you with all our whining." Britain made a mistake and did not have enough immediate backup in the area to prevent an Iranian boat from kidnapping the British sailors who were inspecting a cargo ship in Iraqi waters, where there is a disputed demarcation line. And the Iranians want to take pressure off their invasion of Iraq by provoking an invasion if Iran. They want nothing more than an invasion, an excuse to be berserkers. We should make it plain PUBLICLY so as to cause the sane people to get out of Dodge er Tehran that the opening shot WILL be nuclear centered on their nuclear facilities and for good measure a dose of 3 large ones on Tehran. We will not start it. We will not start small. But if Iran bugs us they get erased and we get to see who Allah likes best.

If you go to war with us there will not be enough of any of you left to get your 72 virgins in paradise.

Of course, there is a little detail that's not been mentioned in the main stream media AND in most of the blogs. Loren, my partner, likes to cruise defense link, the DoD site. Even without Rummie, God bless him for his efforts both the good and misguided, they still hold news conferences. Of late there is a "standard answer" to the question about all the men we have tied up in Iraq and whether we are able to handle another front.

Our military is 2 MILLION strong. We have less than 200,000 tied up at this time in Iraq and Afghanistan. So man-power is not all that much of a problem. A lot of them would spend less time at home, to be sure. What we ARE short on is the high tech precision weapons that we've used up and not replenished properly. So if Iran opens as a new war front we CAN deal with it. It will be messy, months of carpet bombing and all that since precision bombing is not feasible without the precision guided bombs. Most important of all, we CAN do this without being the nuclear monsters I've feared we would have to become. All we need is to convey to the would be enemies the certainty of overwhelming response. There will be civilian casualties so "get over it."

Sadly, it appears that Ahmadinejad and his cronies with their radical Shi'ite bosses seem hell bent to resurrect the 12th imam by making sure times get tough enough for Mohammedans. So we're probably going to have to get rough in Iran. And it will be remote bombardment not men on the ground who make life in Iran unbearable and ultimately unfeasible. Those old WW-II iron bombs we still have in stock in huge numbers are effective if somewhat excessively messy. We'll all get the chance to see who's right, those who seek the 12th imsm's return or those who figure that's misguided ignorant superstition.

In a second incident the Iranians invaded Iraq; Iraqis and Americans came to investigate and two left a third stayed around; and then a platoon sized element of Iranian forces came and started shooting at the Americans and Iraqis. Ahmadinejad really REALLY wants to start a war.

Do remember that we "supposedly" do not have the military coverage to invade yet another country. Defense Link has a news round-table with Gates who seems to think otherwise. We have about 200,000 soldiers deployed now. We have about another 2 million available. Their equipment is a little old. So it won't be the precision bombing that took out Iraq in days. It will mean months of carpet bombing with left over WW-II and Vietnam era iron bombs. It will involve a lot of naval artillery and Air Force bombing. Mud pounders will probably stay out. (And maybe the 12th imam will return.... But I'd not care to bet on it.)

Q Sir, on readiness, we're seeing increasing evidence of strain on the U.S. military from Iraq. Even beyond any request for supplemental, how is the U.S. military positioned in the face of the commitments in Iraq and Afghanistan to deal with a major confrontation in a third state?

SEC. GATES: Well, General Pace has testified to this. We've been asked this on the Hill. And what he has reminded people of is that there are about 200,000 people, all together, deployed in the Central Command area of operations. There are an additional two million soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines in the American military, either in the active force or in the -- and in the Navy and Air Force.

What General Pace has said is that clearly, with the level of commitment, what we have in Iraq, if we were to have another conflict, another major conflict, we would not be able to achieve our goals on the timelines that we've set for ourselves in terms of being successful in that other conflict. But we would prevail. It would take a little longer, and we would not be as precise. We would not have as many precision weapons and so on, so it would be more of a blunt force effort.

So our ability to defend the United States, despite the heavy commitments in Iraq and Afghanistan, remains very strong. And every adversary should be aware of that.

These briefings are attended by all the media. But for some reason they never seem to report details like the above. Loren, my partner, tells me that this sort of statement has been reiterated for at least the last month or two, perhaps with Iran as the specific target of the message. And it may be that the Shi'ite end timer, Ahmadinejad, has heard it and is rejoicing.

Giggle - This is Robert's preface to an article about the top imam not meeting with the Pope.

Sheikh Tantawi, who approves of suicide bombing, won't meet with the Pope because he quoted someone who said Muhammad brought nothing that wasn't "evil and inhuman." Since jihadists routinely justify suicide bombing by referring to Qur'an 9:111, which guarantees Paradise to those who "kill and are killed" for Allah, apparently Tantawi's idea of what is "evil and inhuman" is more nuanced than that of most people.

Ever wonder why you don't hear from moderate Mohammedans very much? Obviously with a religion itself that is not "moderate" by any stretch you have to admit they'll be rare "lax" believers. Ibn Warraq is on a roll. Enjoy it. In this long piece from his book "Why I am not a Muslim" he discusses the origins of Mohammedanism. By this be does not mean the history. He means where did of Mohammed's ideas for his religion originate. Mohammedanism owes a lot to Jews, Zoroastrians, and the pagans of his era. Almost all the Mohammedan rituals trace rather directly from the extant pagan rituals of the day.

One thing that struck me was that the hajj rituals are so wrapped up in icons, black stones, pillars, kissable rocks, and such that it is hard to believe that they criticize Christians for their cross.

Daily Diatribe 20070328

Here is a piece I wrote up for another mailing list that had gotten "on" about troops amassing along the borders of Iran. (I suspect they are there to prevent an Iranian invasion of Iraq and as part of staging to take on the current radical stronghold along the border with Iran, Diyala, in a pincher move to drive them out of Iraq or capture them.)

+++

The running line I see in all the Iranian machinations for the last several years is, "Can you fight me now?"

Achmadinejad and Khameini are both End Times Shi'ites. (Yes, I know that is redundant. But these two are capital letter cases.) They are working very hard to produce armed confrontation between themselves and what is obviously a military force that can drop them cold.*

If times get tough enough for Shi'ites the 12th imam, the Mahdi, who "disappeared" rather than died, will return and lead Mohammedans to the end times and then on to paradise. So the worse it gets for Iran the better they like it, the hell with the other Iranians.

We, on the other hand and presuming some sanity with lack of understanding, figure it would be better to let the Iranian government implode if possible. This worked in the former Soviet Union. The problem with the concept is the above mentioned 12th imam disease. The sanity on the Iranian side is very likely missing and the understanding on the White House side is very likely missing, especially if Shrub is listening to his CAIR buddies. (CAIR is basically a radical Mohammedan organization founded by HAMAS. To this day a good deal of their finances come from radical Mohammedan sources.)

Historically, and I am speaking of more than 1300 years of history here, the only way to defeat Mohammedanism** enough to mute the radical elements to a minimum has involved getting nastier, bloodier, and sneakier than the Mohammedans. This involves the Tours defensive option, kill all of the invading Mohammedans even those retreating. Do NOT take any prisoners except for intelligence purposes.

The downside of this approach is that it has backfired in the long term at least once. The Mohammedans raided the Mongols in Asia for literally centuries before Temujin, yes that one - Genghis Khan, took up arms in earnest against the Mohammedans. When he started adopting the more brutal than thou approach he started winning. He ran out of steam just before overtaking the holy land. Within about a century the conquering Mongols, now brutalized like the Mohammedans, were fertile ground for the ideology and became Mohammedans. So Temujin's war was an ultimate pyrrhic victory.

I hope we could find a way to put them down without brutalizing ourselves. I am not sure how to do it. After about 13 and three quarters centuries finding holes enough in the Qur'an to discredit it to people who are so deep into 1984 level double think that the word "truth" has no meaning to them is likely to be a bit more than casual challenge. If we could do it that is the preferred attack.

* Yes, we could pound them to a pulp. We have over 2 million men and women in uniform or in reserve that could be called up. We are a little short on precision/smart weapons. But we have HUGE stockpiles of good old fashioned iron bombs such as reduced Hanoi to rubble. The same can be applied to Iran.

** 1) That was explicitly phrased that way. The RELIGION is radical. The RELIGION is violent jihad. http://islamwatch.org/ is an excellent place to go to learn more. The Bismi Allah (In the name of Allah) series is a very good place to start. It is also very long. http://www.islam-watch.org/AbulKasem/BismiAllah/1a.htm Ibn Warraq has a couple articles still near the top of the home page listing. His articles are long and very informative. All the Islam Watch articles tend to be heavy on quotes direct from Mohammedan holy scriptures, the Qur'an, Hadith (Sayings of Mohammed), and Sunnah (traditions about his behavior).

2) http://www.historyofjihad.org/ is a very information dense and rather scholarly site. It features a series of something like 43 periods and places in history in which Mohammedan jihad has taken place. They overlap in time considerably. Regarding Temujin this history essay covers it in detail http://www.historyofjihad.org/mongolia.html. These articles also include direct references to the Qur'an for the ideological justification for the jihad attacks and activities.

{^_^} Yes, these folks have me worried. Mohammedanism is not moderate by any means. SOME (few it seems) Mohammedans are moderates. When they speak out they have their lives threatened. So only a very few are vocal moderates. Most are waiting for the day that the world becomes Mohammedan simply by force of their higher birth rate demographics. Meanwhile they're happy to live in standoffish peace with their non-Mohammedan neighbors. Fully 10% are considered to be radicalized and ready to take up the Jihadi call based on polls around the world. That means there is one of the ready to roll folks for every two of us. As many as 50% of the 1.3 to 1.4 BILLION Mohammedans in the world have expressed support for the violent jihadi activities such as 9/11 and 7/7 & 712. THAT amounts to more than two of them for every man, woman, and child in the United States. And a surprising number of "them" are here already.

Here is an interesting piece. The other is an answer to my grousing, "Where are all the Moderate Mohammedans?" Michael J. Totten has provided an interesting answer. He is back in Kurdistan and has visited with the Peshmerga. First, do not even begin to equate the Peshmerga with a typical Iraqi Arab militia. The Peshmerga are professional soldiers pledged to the government. They are very successful. They are willing to die for their country. They are very Kurdish before Mohammedan. In fact they are so moderate in their religion that one might call them lackadaisical Mohammedans. Kurdistan is a nation of extremely secular and moderate Persian Sunni Mohammedans - and Catholics, Christians, Muslims, Yezidis, Sunnis - all Kurds first. This is the model for what we should all want Iraq to become.

From the Department of Redundancy Department, Division of Needless Repetition Division we have this gem from Senator Ros-Lehman, who at least starts to recognize the magnitude of the problem we are facing. "Whether or not some choose to acknowledge it, we are at war with militant Islamists who seek our destruction." From reading the Qur'an I note that prepending the word "militant" to the word "Islamists" is quite redundant. The question is the degree of redundancy involved. Note that spies are militants, too. Fjordman's articles are all very interesting and telling. He writes of Sweden's collapse with internal Jihad. Multi-culturalism has made of Sweden just another Arab city. Multi-culturalism means thugs rule. It's as simple as that.

Note this quote from the long article, ""Children don't become racists if they haven't learned it from their parents," said Melin." I have a pithy phrase to describe that piece of patent nonsense; but, it is not printable by anybody but Democrats. (They can't express themselves without profanity.) Anyway, if you and your friends are attacked, repeatedly, and even the most casual of observations notes it is always Mohammedans attacking you how on Earth do you avoid drawing the conclusion that Mohammedans are evil and should be wiped out, as the Swedish (white) gangs Melin was commenting about are trying to do to the Mohammedan gangs that are plaguing them? You have a society here that tolerates Mohammedans robbing Swedes at will, beating them at will, rioting at will, - basically doing anything they please to the kefir. Sweden has probably already lost and will be a Mohammedan nation within a remarkably short time. Malmö already is 95% of the way to becoming Mohammedan. They very nearly have a Mohammedan majority there. Police will not enter because they are helpless. (It appears to me they face hopeless rules of engagement.) The firemen will not enter until the police do. The Mohammedans do as they please and laugh about the destruction. This is the Devil's work.

Yes, I am convinced this is the work of the Devil not any kind of God I could ever worship. It is the antithesis of any God I could even think of worshipping. The RELIGION is despicable. Because Mohammedanism cannot survive in a realm of free ideas and communications Ayaan is the subject of direct death threats from Mohammedans. It is time we, as a nation, took action against this level of hate speech from prominent public figures. (This should also apply to all purveyors of such hate speech, be it "slips of the tongue" from a Pat Robertson or incitement to riot from an Al Sharpton, we are reaching a point in our society in which tolerating this is the equivalent of tolerating shouting "FIRE" in a crowded theater. Why is it that the Democrats celebrate these bigots and hate the Jews?)

We are not called upon to tolerate Mohammedan behavior. They are guests in this country and must live by OUR standards not theirs where there are any conflicts. The Jihad Watch cite includes documentation of the basis within the ideology by which the death threat is justified.

###

It appears that the key to the whole mess is to utterly discredit Mohammed and his satanic religion. We could start with dropping a big one on the site of the Iranian nuclear facilities. "Did Allah protect you?" Then follow it a week later with an open letter to the Saudi Arabians, "Medina is next. At 4PM on Friday the XXth of XXXX year 2007 Medina will cease to be inhabitable and anyone present there will die. Let's see if Allah and Mohammed protect you." Then on schedule let loose with four big ones bracketing the main mosque there. Follow that with an intentional overkill dead center on the main mosque. The next step is Mecca. Publish the schedule and follow through. A week of warning should be enough for everyone wishing to be a martyr to flock to the place and those more moderate who recognize Allah is not in the mood to protect them can get out of Dodge. Then we pull every American out of Tehran and Riyadh. They are next. They get two weeks warning. Then they get it. This is repeated until no city of greater than 100,000 population exists in the Arab/Persian world. Give the moderates fuel to declare that the traditional interpretation of "religion" is faulty and needs cleaning. Maybe they can make of Mohammedanism's evolutionary successor a religion that can survive on merits rather than thuggery.

For a starting course the moderates should be quick to point out that the huge Asian earthquake and Tsunami wrecked most of its havoc on Aceh, a province almost exclusively Mohammedan. Even God is disgusted with the Mohammedans and smites them. But they ignore it because few make it a big issue. They should.

Of course this is inhuman for us to do. But I am willing to bet good money that before this Mohammedan threat is over this is exactly what will be required - a systematic destruction of everything Mohammedan in the world with repeated references to, "Is Allah protecting you yet?"

Maybe this is what the moderates need to say more often. Sheik Yousuf Al-qaradhawi decries the Arabs who do not work. They spend less time working per day than Germans, Brittans, or Americans spend on lunch - 27 minutes.

###

We could avoid this, of course, by acting now. But just as with Europe we in this country, this great United States of America, are facing the same bureaucratic totalitarianism that we see in Europe. So they will let it go on too long. And in the end the inevitable nuclear war will happen. And by then WE will be monsters. But we might be living monsters instead of living slaves. *I* would rather he a living monster. Monsters can recover humanity. Slaves have no humanity they can claim, particularly Mohammedan slaves. On another paw I note that ridicule can destroy politicians and ideologues anywhere in the world, not just in the US. This idea has penetrated to the Hoover Institution's "Policy Review." Zarqawi did not long survive the out-takes that were released of him fumbling miserably with a weapon he was using as a prop in a propaganda video. Losing face is a serious loss of mojo for charismatic types, particularly in the Mohammedan world. It needs to be used more often.

Perhaps ridicule is the "nuclear weapon" that can leave us humane.

HA: Thinky Linky: Why It Sucks To Be A Terrorist

###

If, as Harry Reid seems to think, we have lost in Iraq, then we have been launched into the path of becoming monsters. Iraq is an attempt to avoid the need to become monsters, to prove to the Mohammedans that Allah is not on their side. One who has misinterpreted my intentions and listened to the Spawn of Satan, Mohammed, is behind this rock." (Yes, that is a corruption of a phrase straight out of the Qur'an.)

Islam Watch has an excerpted portion of remarks by Princeton historian Bernard Lewis about the Mohammedan migration to Europe (and by extension to the US.) He points out the interesting detail that until very recent times it was considered incumbent on Mohammedans NOT to live in areas that were not under Mohammedan laws and rule. If they found themselves there one way or another the imams all agreed they should leave and go to a Mohammedan nation.

In that light he sees the immigration to Europe as the third wave Mohammedan attack on Europe. The first was soon after Mohammedanism was founded. The second was through the 17th century. Both these were repulsed. This time instead of armed attack they are smuggling in their soldiers as immigrants and guest workers. The indications are that this third wave of the attack on Europe has a good chance of success, too.

The left has roundly attacked Charles Johnson of LittleGreenFootballs over his continued exposure of the main stream media becoming a Hezbollah media outlet. No less a study source than Harvard agrees. A report was issued today by the Harvard Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy. It declares the bias was sort of obvious.

Charles quotes from World Politics Watch's article on the report: "A close examination of the media's role during the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah war in Lebanon comes now from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, in an analysis of the war published in a paper whose subtitle should give pause to journalists covering international conflict: "The Israeli-Hezbollah War of 2006: The Media as a Weapon in Asymmetrical Conflict." Bernard Kalb [note: actually, it's Marvin Kalb. -ed.], of Harvard's Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy, methodically traces the transformation of the media "from objective observer to fiery advocate." Kalb painstakingly details how Hezbollah exercised absolute control over how journalists portrayed its side of the conflict, while Israel became "victimized by its own openness.""

Seeing African women living in abject poverty in one of the world's richest nations drove him back to London and to sanity, away from the world of jihad.

SFGate.com has an interesting article about a major world public opinion poll of Mohammedans that took place in four major Mohammedan countries. Charles also points to a Reuters article that uses carefully chosen words to minimize the affect of observations such as "On average, only three in ten view Osama bin Laden positively." There is a small detail they left out here. We are 300 million. The Mohammedans are 1.2 to 1.4 BILLION (10^9). That wee little three in ten minority is more people than we have people, 360 million to 420 million. As I say, it is well past time we started doing what is needed to utterly discredit that political ideology masquerading as a religion called "Islam".

"But 60 percent said suicide bombings were never justified and 67 percent believed Islam was opposed to attacks against civilians." Again if you run the numbers that means 33 to 40 percent of about 1.3 billion people are quite sanguine about suicide bombing, especially if we are the targets. That, again, folks, is more people willing to suicide bomb us than we have people to be bombed. Think about what that means. Daily Diatribe 20070427

I think I'll make a rash prediction tonight, "Saudi Arabia will catch an ever increasing number of radical Mohammedans as time passes." Actually it will be as word of the steady income they provide for people who are extremists and their families. All they have to do is spend some time in prison being "rehabilitated" to less extremist views. Then they and their families get a new car and a steady income. Meanwhile, thousands upon thousands of people in Saudi Arabia who have never held extremist views live on in abject poverty. Even poor people can add two and two. So LOTS of extremists will be found and "rehabilitated" once the word gets out for how to scam the system.

Paying people to be moderates is as stupid, when you think about it, as paying people to be poor. Either way you end up paying them forever. At least Saudi Arabia should rehabilitate the people to the point they can hold a decent paying job. Teach a man to work and he can feed himself and his family until he can work no more. Drop money on a man and all he does is spend it and remain dependant, not working, and probably a secret radical. (The Saudis have been recapturing some of them who have not actually reformed and brought them back to jail again. I wonder if they double the pay or apply sterner measures.)

I love Charles's earlier take on it: "Reached for comment, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid called for Al-Iraqi's immediate release. "How can we surrender to him while he's being tortured in the Guantanamo concentration camp?" Reid asked, with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi blinking furiously at his side."

Albania used to be a tiny "nominally Muslim" nation. It's peoples were Mohammedan but certainly very lax about it. Once the doors opened with the fall of the Soviet Union the Saudi Arabians started financing mosques with the usual strings attached in the form of Wahabbi imams. The older folks are hardly pleased with this event. But the Saudis had the money. So how could the Albanians keep them out? Perhaps they should have found a way?

Islam Watch published two long historical essays by Anwar Shaikh which provide an interesting take on the development of jihad and its roots in Arabic pre-Mohammedan Bedouin life. He sees jihad as primarily a means of collecting booty to many of its past practitioners. (Today's jihadists seem to have forgotten booty for raw hatred.) In part one he views the battle of Badr, which Mohammed led, as the start of practical jihad. In part two he views the battle of Tours both as proof of his postulated basis for what jihad really is and as a major turning point in the history of the world.

For more information on the battle of Tours vis a vis Mohammedans the "History of Jihad" site article on the battle is linked in the third link below. It completes some of the picture Anwar Shaikh left out. To be a completist about it I have also included the pointer to the HofJ site's article on the battle of Badr.

Karen Armstrong, a very vocal Mohammedan apologist, has reviewed Robert Spencer's book, "The Truth about Muhammad." In her attempts to debunk Robert's book she cherry picks a few words from a verse in the Qur'an in such a manner as to utterly distort the meaning. Robert's response is worth reading. But do carry on down into the comments. There are some very good well documented comments for this article.

If you cannot win on logic alone then 1) try to shout loud enough that your opponents cannot be heard (college antics at conservative speaker's presentations), 2) resort to extreme character assassination, 3) lie. Ms. Armstrong has taken the third route by lifting the phrase "awesome evil" out of a sentence removing all contextual meaning. In context war is an awesome evil during certain holy months when it is "prohibited". In addition the greater context indicates that "persecution" is worse than warfare thus justifying attacks on the Quraysh who were allegedly "persecuting" the Mohammedans.

One reason I am developing a strong dislike for liberals is their extreme facility for telling blatant lies while accusing others of telling lies for spreading untruths they honestly believed to be true. Morality is vanishing from America. This is a bad thing, especially when we need our morality in order to defeat the Mohammedan enemies without destroying those few Mohammedans who may be "regular folks." It will take our solid morality to attack the RELIGION ITSELF and not its misguided practitioners other than those who are attacking us.

As further evidence that the Mohammedans are intent on eradicating all faiths leaving only their ideology we have the Pakistanis forcing non-Mohammedan children to study Mohammedanism in schools. Their parents cannot do anything about this. This is simply a continuation of business as usual for the Mohammedans for the past 1385 years.

I believe Pakistan is going to become a MAJOR problem within the next couple years. I am not sure what to do to prevent that or about it as it becomes an even more important terrorist stronghold than it is now.

###

Mohammedanism is a racist ideology from start through today. It allows and actively encourages slavery and abuse of slaves. This is stated explicitly in the Qur'an. The largest traditional source for slaves has been Africa. Sudan is one of the major traditional sources. So we have the spectacle of devout Mohammedans being persecuted in Sudan by other (Arab) Mohammedans and NOBODY in the dar al salam, world of Islam, says boo about it. Needless to say these black Mohammedans in Darfur are becoming more and more disenchanted with the religion.

The main stream media has a fourth method of handling truths they cannot bear. They refuse them air time. PBS has created a very powerful and informative documentary called "Islam vs Islamists: Voices from the Muslim Center." Kansas City is not paying attention. They seem to have missed events at the Minneapolis airport with Mohammedan taxi drivers. Other airports are apparently facing similar sets of demands from similarly Mohammedan taxi drivers. We'd be better off if we tossed all the Mohammedans out of this country all together. But that's not in the cards.

Daily Diatribe 20070429

The New York Times has a remarkably complementary article about the recent changes and events in Iraq. Two things came to mind after reading it. First, the author's days may be numbered. And second was this little quote.

Some tribal leaders now working with the Americans say they harbor deep resentment toward the Shiite-led administration of Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki, accusing it of pursuing a sectarian agenda. Yet they also say they are invested in the democratic process now.

Today's society is complex enough that a man who has spent his life with his nose buried in the Qur'an is ill equipped to keep society running. He NEEDS a secular government for support. Once the supply of slaves who are not themselves Mohammedans gives out keeping the 1.3 billion or more Mohammedans around the world alive will become problematic if they have no secular leadership. And if they have no willing support from people who have not adopted Mohammedanism they still cannot keep it running on a slavery basis. Slavery numbs the mind of the slaves, who would be the ones providing food, clothing, shelter, and so forth for those "religious" scholars who declare secularism is a deadly sin. In other words, the Qur'an is a hopelessly outdated obsolete document worthy of ridicule.

NYE: Uneasy Alliance Is Taming One Insurgent Bastion

###

Mohammedanism is also about micromanaging your everyday life. In both Iran and Pakistan barbers are regulated because men are not allowed to have "Western haircuts" and are not allowed to pluck their eyebrows. There are complex rules about how women can be hairdressers, but only for women who want to look nice for their husbands. Women who want to look nice for others cannot get their hair done up. Women cannot enter a barbershop when a foreign man is present. And so forth.

Hm, I wonder what havoc we could cause by asking an Imam whether the power distribution system should be AC or DC according to the Mohammedan scriptures. And of course, if the answer is AC we must ask "what frequency" and why.... Ridicule - that is the way to wipe out Mohammedanism.

More than a MILLION people marched in Istanbul against the AKP who have more or less taken over the Turkish government. The AKP is a strongly Mohammedan party dedicated to transforming Turkey into a Shari'a ruled country. It seems just a whole LOT of Turks think this is a rather bad idea and are protesting against it. Do note that twice in the past the very secular Turkish army has enforced Ataturk's dictum that the country must never descend to Shari'a law and rule by clerics. It may be time for another military coup - if the army is still secular and loyal to Ataturk's ideals. Ataturk was not perfect; but, the difference between his ideals and those of the mullahs is more than subtle shades of gray.

Marisol found an interesting CNN article about a large cache of bomb ingredients. The really interesting part is the way this riled the bomb makers of the so called "Islamic State of Iraq". 72 suspects were arrested. The raids yielded 100 gallons of nitric acid and other bomb-making materials. And ISI erupted, "The city went on high alert after the Islamic State of Iraq -- the insurgent umbrella group that includes al Qaeda in Iraq -- distributed leaflets to police in Samarra on Saturday, warning them that they have three days to "repent" or be killed." A good way to judge our effectiveness is the level of loud threat-rhetoric from the terrorists, the society breakers.

One of the reasons it is so hard to find honestly moderate Mohammedans is the Qur'an's requirement for Taqiyya, the practice of lying to protect the ideology. If the lie is for the good of Mohammedanism then those who are adherents to the religion are expected to lie. Warner MacKenzie has an excellent article regarding this practice that supplements other articles I've cited about this subject. It appears that having one in every 66 Turks out protesting all at once was sufficient to give the Turkish supreme court an incentive to nullify the election of a President who is decidedly non-secular. The group that put him forward is talking about changing terms of the Turkish constitution that Kamel Ataturk and the drafters of that constitution had marked as immutable. The Turkish military is also constitutionally mandated to maintain a secular government in Turkey. (Of course, that "secular" is quite relative. Were it really secular then a certain cathedral turned into a mosque would be turned back to the original owners. But that's not in the cards.)

Sharia courts are already in operation in Britain. The police seem to know about them and are not doing much of anything about them. The proceedings are strictly secret from outsiders. This lack of oversight is a bad thing. Parallel legal systems can be gamed to get away with almost anything if you are clever enough.

What is surprising is that the Daily Mail is reporting this with some real or feigned surprise. I've been hearing rumors of this activity going on for years now. Back nearly a decade ago when in my burnout period I caught a lot of TV news. I remember two incidents that hit on this very subject. One was in another country. And one was here in the US and involved an "honor killing." I dearly wish I could find the cites. But I remember too few details to drag it out of Google. At any rate I am not surprised.

Nor do I particularly object to religious courts as long as the rulings do not involve breaking any secular laws. If a religion has articles of its faith that divorce is so evil it cannot take place, ever, then its actions with regards to members who gain a civil divorce should be allowed to the extent they abide by our laws. If the resolution involves the death of one or both of the divorced people this is not allowable and is appropriately punishable. If the church hides the evidence then those who participate in such hiding are also guilty of a conspiracy to obstruct justice. If the resolution involves removal of the members from the church's roster and a formal process of reading them out of the religion that is a matter about which the state should maintain no opinion.

Sharia law is VERY likely to violate secular law if enforced. When this happens in the British case the police should take immediate action.

One of Shrub's more annoying stances regards the illegal aliens in this country. Even if it is a trick answer to a trick question his stance has remained annoying. His director of homeland security, however, seems to indicate that some thought is being invested in the matter for all the bluster. Chertoff is talking about cementing a barrier in place of the huge visa loophole for Brittons.

Omar Khyam, the leader of the recently tried and convicted terrorist cell could have used that loophole to enter the US without a visa. He had no prior record and is a British citizen. So we'd have had no good excuse to exclude him.

Requiring visas is not necessarily a solution, either. With a basis of no criminal record what reason, other than singling out Brittons of Pakistani origin. And even THAT is not sure fire. So saddling the British with onerous visa requirements may not be a good idea. It would have serious adverse affects on the many business travelers and vacation travelers between the two countries. What to do? What to do? It is a serious question and at least Chertoff and his people are negotiating and discussing the idea with the British quite carefully.

And is the "end of it" for serious Mohammedan coverage tonight. It all seems to be campaign politics and domestic or racial issues regarding black prejudice against whites.

I'll start with that second issue since it is right on the top of an interesting page tonight. Michelle Malkin's Vent today reveals how the rap scene revels in profanity, sex, and on stage faux-rape of a young girl tricked onto the state for a phony dance contest in Trinidad. These rappers are the source of the "nappy headed whoes" phrase that got Don Imus unjustly canned. (I find him annoying, crass, rude, and not welcome in my house. But what was done to him by the Sharpton group is despicable and pure double standards at work.)

Here is a video with a content warning. It shows Akon dry humping the young woman on stage during the contest. Considering the primary source for this remarkable document I am not 100% sure whether it should be considered fact or tossed out the window as trash. With that said the Egyptian government weekly publication has exposed documents that purport to tie the Iraqi PM al-Maliki and Iran's Revolutionary Guard. If this is true it is going to be very hard to deal with "politely". That exposure may create a new playing field that will lead to a "lather, rinse, repeat" sort of cycle as we force out a second Iraqi government. (This time I hope we do it by forcing a new national election process, an "are you sure" requester as it were.) It will also make it harder for al-Maliki to interpose himself between al-Sadr and the US troops. It changes the playing field. But the changes are not all bad.

Note that some of the details in the second article are readily verifiable. Al-Maliki ordered the release of Iranians illegally in Iraq who had been detained. Some 442 of them have been released. An Iraq that is in bed with Iran will be a VERY bad thing.

Honor killings are NOT a Mohammedan monopoly franchise. It is rather important to remember this. It is, however, chiefly a franchise of the more primitive regions and religions of the world. A video on YouTube reveals one perpetrated in the Kurdish region of Iraq by a Yazidi tribe. The Yazidi are a primitive religion that predates Christianity and Mohammedanism in the Kurdish region. They are often described as being devil worshippers. Not knowing anything about their scriptures all I can do is note that Fox News mentions that this is supposedly due to an unfortunate naming similarity for one of their "angels".

Legal Mohammedan practice involves sex, as long as it does not damage the child with toddlers and infants if the man wants it. And if he DOES damage the child she's only a girl so its an infraction not anything that is serious. They have a pleasure practice called "thighing" wherein the child's legs are pressed together and the man forces his penis in between them without penetrating her vagina. The man has his pleasure. The woman has her introduction to degradation. All this and more is approved in the late unlamented Ayatollah Khomeini's little green book and in his speeches and preaching while he was alive. This is all permitted and straight out of the Qur'an with amplification of details in the Sunna and Hadith. THIS is what we are inviting into our land if we do not fight it when we see even the barest hints of these practices or of Mohammedanism getting its camel's nose into the tent. Mohammedan extremists powered by the literal reading of the Qur'an with virtually no contrary passages to be abrogated by later ones to get in the way of understanding just how much we have to lose, especially our women - and me.

Of course, it does not stop there. Look to the writings of that "esteemed" Ayatollah Khomeini again. He describes the proper way to have sex with beasts. "A man can have sex with sheep, cows and camels and so on. However, he should kill the animal after he has his orgasm. He should not sell the meat to the people in his own village; however, selling the meat to the next door village should be fine." This is the indecency of the extremist literalist practitioners of the religion. At least the extremist and literalist interpreters of the Bible are still decent people. It's sad this is not true of Mohammedanism, which makes life for the moderate decent Mohammedan so difficult.

Khomeini's "Tahrirolvasyleh" fourth volume, Darol Elm, Gom, Iran, 1990

"If one commits the act of sodomy with a cow, a ewe, or a camel, their urine and their excrement become impure, and even their milk may no longer be consumed. The animal must then be killed and as quickly as possible and burned."

CAIR would have problems with the title of this article linked below. After all it is not at all indecent behavior that is described when viewed from their extremist Mohammedan viewpoint. It is well documented as being acceptable and modeled in the behavior of the most perfect example for Mohammedan behavior, that of Mohammed himself. Yes, they CAN marry a two year old. They can't penetrate her before she is 9 years old, though. But if they do, it's only an infraction. What's more this is taken directly from their laws, their most esteemed leaders declarations of Mohammedan law, and from the three documentary pillars of Mohammedanism, the Qur'an, the Sunna, and the Hadith.

Note, I am not inciting to riot or racial hatred. I am simply inciting resistance to their creeping in and corrupting our society with their anti-thesis to everything we think is good and just. Don't hate them. Simply resist their inroads. If they want to be camel dung let them do it in their own countries not ours. And above all do not let them make over our country into theirs.
