Meanwhile I have been reading Hive Mind by Jones, https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=Jones+Hive+Mind&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8<\/a> and it is fascinating: nearly all the stuff I thought I knew about IQ but which was dismissed with prejudice by many of the younger experts remains true. There\u2019s more to know, and we understand somewhat less about it than we thought we did, but I knew that long ago. <\/p>\n The higher a nation\u2019s average IQ the richer that nation is; it\u2019s a strong coupling. Individual IQ isn\u2019t so successful in predicting individual success, but we knew that, too. But collectively \u2013 think Hari Seldon \u2013 it\u2019s a different story. Couple that with Deaton\u2019s The Great Escape http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/The-Great-Escape-Origins-Inequality\/dp\/0691165629?tag=chaosmanor-20<\/a>, a book on diversity, and you have something important in the social \u201csciences\u201d although I doubt that it\u2019s politically correct enough to get past \u201cPeer\u201d review.
