Sections Alt.Mail Special Reports |
Joanne Dow is a very old friend. She is a communications engineer, a veteran of the Genie days, and has a wealth of experience. She has taken up the task of documenting the subject of Islam, particularly as regards women. I do not agree with everything she says. Joanne has both detractors and fans. Her diatribes tend to be long, and there are a lot of them, so I have decided to give them their own pages. This is the second such page. The first is here. I will fill in some past editions over time. I also update this in batches rather than daily. I want to make it clear that I do not agree with everything she says, and my views of Islam vary depending on the country and the sect. Joanne generally concentrates on finding the most extreme positions, and it would be easy reading only her posts to get a false impression of the world situation. I'm willing to publish replies but they must be in a reasonable format, at reasonable length, and in language no more intemperate than she employs. My Turkish friends in particular are appalled at her diatribes. I understand. Most Turkish intellectuals support the Turkish constitution which mandates a secular state, and would strenuously resist imposition of sharia and other strict interpretations of Muslim law. This is not what Joanne complains of. Those who have long known me know that I have a high regard for the Turkish Army. Turkey sent troops to our aid in Korea, and I for one will never forget that. I post her diatribes because she finds incidents that ought to be thought alarming by everyone, Christian, Muslim, secular humanist, atheist, or indeed anyone civilized. This is PART TWO. PREVIOUS DIATRIBES (Part ONE) JOANNE DOW'S DIATRIBES PART TWO
GwP: Secular Islam Summit: Rediscovering Secular Traditions ### One of my hobby horses is "managed news" rather than "accurate news". When it involves a scientific principle I have a hard time not going ballistic. Global warming is one of those issues. National Geographic has published a serious article about a Russian scientist who believes that almost all the warming seen can be accounted for by similar warming that is seen on Mars concurrently with Earth's "Global Warming." For a long time I've been saying there is apparent "Global Warming" happening on average across the whole Earth. I also note that in the past the Earth has been quite a bit warmer than it is today. And finally I note that the rate of change of late SEEMS, only seems, to be much more rapid than might be reasonable. A lot of scientists have noted this and for political reasons gone off blazing a trail of human blame. They are laying a huge guilt trip on the already overloaded with guilt Western culture. (The Western culture's rampant guilt is leading it to its own destruction, too. But that is another rant.) These scientists are doing us, the world's population, a massive disservice pandering to the alarmist politicians who are in a position to gain power and wealth from the blame game. They are distracting us, the world's population, from what we should be doing, coping. If you are in an earthquake, tornado, hurricane, fire, or any other disaster sitting down and pointing fingers of blame do no good. If you do that the disaster becomes worse from neglect of the coping response that needs to take place. Acknowledge a problem, define it, define what must be done to mitigate it, define a subset that is technically feasible, define a further subset that is economically feasible, define an even smaller subset of things you can do that are affordable, then, by God, go do them. Sitting whining about blame is not going to help when the problem is of a magnitude that may destroy London, New York, Florida, NOLA (yet again), and most other low land in the world. The Dutch will need to reinforce their dykes. Much of the prime real estate in the world may submerge. We need to define what is most likely and what we can do worst case. Then solve the freaking problem. The National Geographic article shows why it is silly to assign blame. Other articles have suggested that if humans vanished from the Earth the disaster would still happen. (Um, but would it be a disaster if nobody was there to hear it when Florida floods over?) My engineering and scientific talents lie outside the climate modeling field to be sure. So all I can do, really, is finger the evidence that is suggesting "we have a problem." We need to redirect the scientists from the blame game to better analysis of how bad it's going to be, 1' ocean rise, 10', 100'? Then we need to start asking the engineers what we can do about the problem. Just stop the blame game. It does not serve us. Charles Johnson takes it a step further in a different direction than I tend to think. He reminds us of the end of Michael Crichton's book, "State of Fear." He reminds us a similar very well accepted and accorded episode of political junk science, eugenics. He mentions the disaster that got us into. We need to remember that history. NatGeo: Mars Melt Hints at Solar, Not Human, Cause for Warming, Scientist Says LGF: The Great Global Warming Swindle ### Charles has pointed out an article by Orson Scott Card in which he describes "tossing" an audio book. The story itself was not repulsive. But, the background was so historically inaccurate that it ended up destroying his ability to enjoy the story. The story is set in "Palestine" in 1948. In its background setting the British supplied the minority Jews with massive weapons as they fought against the majority Arabs who were unarmed civilians being tossed off their land. This is PURE far left cant. Card describes some of the actual history. The British worked VERY hard to prevent the Jews from arming, blocking arms as best the could. The Jews smuggled in everything they had. They were fighting the fully equipped military of three neighboring countries, Jordan, Syria, and Egypt. Furthermore in much of the area earmarked for Israel Jews were a MAJORITY. They became a majority by LEGALLY PURCHASING the land and importing Jews to work on the land and make it productive. At the end of the war, the reason there was no Palestinian state is not because the Israelis prevented it. It was because the Arab nations prevented it -- Egypt took over the rule of the Gaza Strip and Jordan ruled the West Bank, declaring it to be part of their national territory and suppressing any attempt to create a Palestinian state there. As for wholesale slaughter of Palestinian civilians by Israelis, it didn't happen. Nowhere, not in 1948, and not since then. A lot of people think it has happened because of propaganda. Like when the media was full of reports, during the intifadeh, that Israelis had massacred hundreds or thousands of Palestinians in Jenin. Later, sober investigation showed that no such thing had happened -- that, on the contrary, Israelis had suffered needless casualties on their own side because of the extraordinary lengths they went to to prevent civilian casualties on the other side. And that's just the start of it. He fisked Steve Berry right and proper, he did. (Wikipedia the term "fisking" if you don't recognise it.) It's all part of the Western culture's growing self-hatred that is gnawing at its soul and destroying it. Give up guilt for Lent, perhaps? You might discover you like the feeling. Even fiction can promote propaganda. And it seems an accomplished author who sees another author skimp on proper background research tends to get rather "exercised" over it. Card's article rather demonstrates this fact. It also is worth reading for the "fact update". OSC: Evil Fiction ### Ali Eteraz replied to Robert Spencer, again. And Robert Spencer takes him on point by point where he took issue with Eterat. The result is LONG and informative. Many of the first couple dozen comments are also well worth reading if you have the time. One argument Spencer does not use is a simple obvious one. If the real Mohammedanism is what Eterat says it is, why do the Jihadists have such an apparently easy time taking moderate Mohammedans and radicalize them into suicide bomb carrying nutcases? Even if Eterat is 100% correct, he is not convincing the people that need convincing, other Mohammedans. If he wants our respect so badly as he appears to want it then he'd best be out there making sure the radical imams are derailed and discredited with his fancy advanced modern interpretations of the Qur'an, Hadith, and Sunnah. JW: Ali Eteraz and non-supremacist jurists or schools of Islamic law ### A history lesson covering the History of Jihad against the Serbs, Croats, and Albanians from 1389 to 1920. The Mohammedan bad side is rather dramatically revealed in the accounts of the wars of the period, virtually through the present. (It also notes that the Turkish historians' accounts of the 500+ years is vastly different from the accounts of their victims that survive. And even THEY admit to the perfidy and lies the Mohammedans used to win their battles. IW: History of Jihad against the Serbs, Croats, and Albanians [1389 to 1920] ### Did I mention that trusting a Mohammedan who is not EXTREMELY moderate is playing with fire? Maybe I didn't. Consider it said now. There was some trust put in Yemen in allowing it to have custody over Mohammedan extremists who were imprisoned. Yemen just released 100 of them, including 19 who fought with Zarqawi. Maybe someday we'll learn to grab them when (and if) we can and NEVER let them go. (Guantanamo is too nice and too easy to get out of with the state of US jurisprudence and rapacious lawyers willing to work against the country and for the enemies of all mankind. WTOP: 100 Muslim Extremists Freed in Yemen ### {^_^} That's MORE than enough for one night. AEI: Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali ### One of the items Ayaan touches on in presentation above is the way Mohammedans stifle and refuse to allow any discussion of imperfections in the ideology. Serge Trifkovic also discusses this on Front Page Magazine's site. (Of course, he uses the current favorite pseudo-con whipping boy for a foil.)Furthermore, D'Souza uses "Islamophobia" with the implicit assumption that the term's meaning is well familiar to his readers. For the uninitiated it is nevertheless necessary to spell out its formal, legally tested definition, however. It is provided by the European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC), a lavishly-funded organ of the European Union. Based in Vienna, this body diligently tracks the instances of "Islamophobia" all over the Old Continent and summarizes them in its reports. The Monitoring Center's definition of Islamophobia includes eight salient features: 1. Islam is seen as a monolithic bloc, static and unresponsive to change. 2. Islam is seen as separate and "other." 3. Islam is seen as inferior to the West, barbaric, irrational, primitive and sexist. 4. Islam is seen as violent, aggressive, supportive of terrorism and engaged in a clash of civilizations. 5. Islam is seen as a political ideology. 6. Criticisms made of the West by Islam are rejected out of hand. 7. Hostility towards Islam is used to justify discriminatory practices towards Muslims and exclusion of Muslims from mainstream society. 8. Anti-Muslim hostility is seen as natural or normal. This definition is obviously intended to preclude any possibility of meaningful discussion of Islam. The implication that Islamophobia thus defined demands legal sanction is a regular feature of the Race Relations Industry output. It also routinely refers to "institutional Islamophobia" as an inherent social and cultural sickness of most Western societies that needs to be rooted out by education, re-education, and legislation. In reality, of course, all eight proscribed statements are to some extent true. As I have argued in these pages and elsewhere,FPM: Dinesh the Dhimmi ### Sulejman Talovic, the Trolly Square shooter, left almost nothing behind him to indicate why he went on his rampage. He left no notes and didn't have a computer. A TV station has interviewed his father, who has relatively poor English making him hard to understand. The father believes somebody had influenced his son. He describes a personality change that is not inconsistent with changes seen in other converts to jihadi views. And the mosque at which he attended prayers has produced at least one other radical in the past. LGF: Video: SLC Killer's Father Believes Son Was Trained LGF: Salt Lake City Killer's Father Believes His Son Was Trained ### Hugh Fitzgerald touches on the lackluster, nay downright disgraceful, record of Mohammedans in science and medicine. He asserts the reason for this is the basic Mohammedan education that teaches students how to not think. So with their critical faculties turned off the Mohammedans are hopeless when it comes to advancing science. The assorted crazinesses and conspiracy theories (I like best that well-known one about Neil Armstrong hearing the azan on the moon -- one giant step for Homo Islamicus, apparently) that are widely believed in the Islamic world provide yet another example of the susceptibility to lunatic ideas and the most absurd rumors among populations of people who have been brought up in societies where they are deliberately taught not to think. For Islam teaches that Allah must never be questioned. The products of his will or whim are simply there. Ours not to reason why, for Allah Knows Best. And that is how the ask-mr-fatwas sites, in giving their opinions which have the effect of unappealable rulings to the inquiring ("Can I wear a bouffant hairdo?" "Can I defecate in a toilet if the water in the bowl is still?" "Can I inherit property from the parents of my 'reverted' spouse?") always conclude: Allah Knows Best."The habit of mental submission leads not only to susceptibility to every kind of crank belief, or even to the entertaining of two separate and contradictory beliefs." Once he demonstrates the "can't think critically" thesis he moves on to the Mohammedan arrogance. "Muslims are inculcated with and exhibit a sense of superiority: we are Muslims, we are the Best People (cf. Qur'an 3:110), "Islam must dominate and is not to be dominated," Allah will prevail and Muslims have a right to, and will, rule everywhere." He proposes using the disaffection and sense of conflict between the lack of ability to match the West in achievement with the concept that Mohammedans are superior critters as leverage for at least grabbing the attention of those few intelligent Mohammedans who can still think. JW: Fitzgerald: Crazinesses and conspiracy theories ### Qur'an 3.110 ### The headline indicates the planned super-mosque right outside the London Olympics venue is going to be turned down by the planning commission. At best I'd say it MAY be turned down. With this report going public look for the Mohammedans to weep, wail, whine, and war over it. Yes, I expect violence in addition to the usual three "W" response of the Mohammedans to anything they don't like. JWDW: UK: Supermosque for 70,000 'will be blocked' ### This seems to be a moderately slow day. So how about some sexual entertainment. No, not that kind. I was thinking of entertaining reading about Mohammed's sex life. 11 wives at one time, marrying 9 year old girl, and even marrying your adopted son's wife sounds like some level of sexual indulgence well beyond the norms of society today. But that is not all. He also had slaves. And forcing sex on slaves was kinda neat, too, eh? Read about it. RoP: The Sex Life of the Prophet ### {^_^} HA: Islamic African Relief Agency-USA ### Why do they want to live in the West when all they do is work for its ultimate destruction? Is it because they enjoy the benefits and do not see anything hypocritical or wrong about their activities? Al-Arabiyya TV's Director General has criticized the hypocrisy of those who work for the destruction of Western society then demand (and sue for 20 million euros in one case) to stay in the West after being deported. MEMRI: Al-Arabiyya TV Director-General: 'Why Do Islamist Extremists Who Incite Against the West Insist on Living There?' ### Charles Johnson is in fine humor tonight. He is redesigning his own bloging system. He's stressed out and meeting with some success. Like me, this puts his humor systems into high gear. So we get this phrasing for a report on the capture of a fleeing terrorist leader. "The versatile burqa-it's a political statement, a tool to keep women suppressed, and a disguise for fleeing terrorists!" That's all true too. The man captured was a supposed expert bomb maker named Mullah Mahmood. LGF: The Multi-Purpose Islamic Garment ### Many sources today are remarking about how Bashar Assad is foaming at the mouth mad at Ahmadinejad over the recent telephone conversation in which Ahmadinejad "displeased" Assad over the international tribunal that is demanded for investigating the murder of Rafik Hariri in Lebanon. Assad is dead set against such a tribunal. One presumes this is because Assad was the one who ordered the murder. This break-up may have some interesting repercussions. JW: Assad yells at Ahmadinejad, curses Iranians ### With this introduction from Robert Spencer at Jihad Watch I highly recommend the following article to your. "Every feminist should know Phyllis Chesler's story. And every defender of human rights should stand with her. "How my eyes were opened to the barbarity of Islam: Is it racist to condemn fanaticism?," by Phyllis Chesler in the TimesOnline," It describes her life married to a handsome Afghani who took her home to Kabul. She learned the cardinal rule, do NOT marry a Mohammedan no matter how modern, moderate, and urbane he may seem. Above all NEVER let them take you out if your own country to theirs. You learn about their Jekyll and Hyde personalities. It's subtitled, "Is it racist to condemn fanaticism?". This is not far different from my grand question. It's far more polite, though. ToL: How my eyes were opened to the barbarity of Islam ### Michelle Malkin notes that YouTube has been banned in Turkey because of uncomplimentary videos about the country and its founder. But that's not the interesting news there. Scroll down to the second block quote and her lead comments. It appears that Congressman Bill Shuster (R-PA-O9) has introduced a bill designed to urge YouTube to stop aiding the terrorists and jihadis who are trying to destroy this country. I agree with her, until more is known about this I withhold judgment. It is a basic concept I like. But is it likely to have unwanted and unintended side effects? MM: YouTube banned in Turkey ### An Islamic Charity, Islamic American Relief Agency formerly known as Islamic African Relief Agency-USA, has been indicted for illegally transferring funds to Iraq and stealing U.S. government grant money. As noted at the bottom of the quote the screams of "Islamophobia" have already been heard shouted about the land, or at least the Washington Post. MM: Islamic charity indicted ### Michael J. Totten goes on the record with IDF Intelligence about the recent Lebanese events that basically ended rather inconclusively for Israel. He does so anonymously. The officer is still serving in the IDF and therefore does not want to be identified. David (a pseudonym) works in a fire control unit stationed in the Northern Command. During the war he managed intelligence pertaining to Hezbollah rocket fire, selected targets for air and artillery strikes, and occasionally assisted in real-time control of fire. He is familiar with some of the high-level decision-making and hints at some of what he knows that is officially classified. It appears the Air Force general who was leading the IDF at the time of the Lebanese conflict really hashed up the job in all too typical raw ignorance of how to use a different branch of the military, the infantry. Good plans existed. They were never executed. And it gets worse! Read it. It's red raw meat. MJT: On the Record with IDF Intelligence ### Here is a link to some behind the scenes video from the Secular Islam Summit. I'll leave you with some uplift and hope today. Please do what you can to help these people get their message across to young Mohammedans everywhere. PJM: Profiles in Courage - Back Stage at the Secular Islam Summit ### {^_^} east/article1490124.ece ToL: Elite Iranian general defects with Hezbollah's arms secrets ### Mauritania may finally deal with its slavery issue. Former slaves to "light skinned" Maurs (Moors) have had a very second class status in the country. They MAY get a representative out of the coming elections. "Of course" the nation is 100% Mohammedan according to the 3006 CIA factbook. This is significant because the Qur'an, the root of all evil, explicitly condones slaves and sexual abuse of slaves. ToL: Slave nation that can now cry freedom ### If you think we have problems in this country with our education system infiltrated by extreme socialists and Communists consider what the secular Egyptians have to deal with. The Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated the Egyptian schools and taken over the curriculum. They are teaching hatred, Mohammedanism as the state and the religion, and a readiness for violent Jihad. In case you are utterly out of it and have not noticed it we are facing this problem here in the US. The Mohammedans are working at taking over our colleges. (Large dollar grants facilitate this with the money grubbing college administrations.) And of late they have been introducing "sensitivity reenactments" of Mohammedan practices and recitations in grade schools. IMAO that MUST stop NOW. MEMRI: Egyptian Press Criticizes the Muslim Brotherhood's Infiltration of Egypt's Education System ### The CBC had a rather uncharacteristically candid view into Canadian Mohammedan life and the efforts of the moderates to be heard in the face of the threats and physical violence they have suffered. It is more than a little scary. Maybe the Canadians will wake up. (Naw, I don't REALLY believe that. But I can hope.) - (video in two parts) LGF: CBC National: Why We Don't Hear from Moderate Muslims ### In the light of the CBC documentary this, from here at home in South Carolina is rather chilling. (These are why I feel more aggressive law enforcement and indeed snooping is needed lest things really go sour and we lose it all or have to give it all away to avoid becoming Mohammedan thugs ourselves.) LGF: Charlotte Islamist Seething over Radio Host ### PR campaigns and our courts are becoming very powerful tools in the hands of radical Mohammedans. They've hired a Montreal PR firm that admits to targeting PR attention towards judges in cases that could turn favorable directions for terrorist captives. Mr. (Richard) Levick (the high-stakes media guru) maintains that a year and a half after they began the campaign, their PR outreach produced literally thousands of news placements and that, eventually, a majority of the top 100 newspapers were editorializing on the detainees' behalf. Convinced that judges can be influenced by aggressive PR campaigns, Mr. Levick points to rulings in the detainee cases which openly cite news stories that resulted from his team's media outreach.I hope he likes speaking Arabic and Qur'an. I also rather hope he'd go to meet his tormentor (he sure ain't goin' to heaven) as soon as possible. He is a disgusting disgrace of a human being, selling his country, his family's future, and indeed himself out for his 30 pieces of silver. LGF: Burlingame: Gitmo's Guerrilla Lawyers ### Robert has a longish essay discussing the travails of arguing the Qur'an with a Mohammedan. He also provides pointers to essays about how to argue with some success against the Mohammedans. In the process of reading his article and the ones to which he points you get a good picture of how the Mohammedans fudge their arguments to intimidate those who are not solid experts. JW: Charging "ignorance" to fool the ignorant ### I mentioned that Congressman Bill Shuster (R-PA-09) had introduced a bill to limit Internet Jihad on YouTube and other such places. It's yet another non-binding resolution rather than law. So that relieves some of the reservations I had about it. Robert Spencer has some commentary and quotes about it. He also has a pointer to the full text. JW: Congressman introduces legislation to stop Internet jihad ### Fjordman has posted part four in his lone essay, "Is Islam Compatible with Democracy." The short answer is "no." The blunt answer is "Hell No." But it's best if you read it for yourself. There are pointers to parts 1, 2, and 3 here also. JWDW: Fjordman: Is Islam Compatible with Democracy? part 4 ### The link below goes to the story of "Rambo", an Afghan guard who has pledged his life to Americans and put it on the line to very good effect when he disarmed a suicide bomber before the bomber could explode. Yahoo via MM: The Afghan guard who stops suicide bombers ### Michelle has collected some background information that has been surfacing about Hassan Abujihaad, a Muslim American sailor who is charged with passing Navy and DoD secrets to the terrorists. MM: A Muslim U.S. sailor named "Abujihaad" ### {^_^} HA: Breaking: Leader of "Islamic State of Iraq" captured? Update: Ratted out? Update: Maliki associate confirms? ### Jihad Watch has some other interesting information about the defecting Iranian general that I haven't seen before. It appears he escaped with documents that can prove the Iranian involvement in terror. According to the Ashaq Alawsat report he holds quite a few Iranian military and nuclear secrets in his head. And he is cooperating with the Western Authorities with whom he and his family are staying. JW: Report: Missing Iranian official can prove Tehran's ties to terror ### On the first reading all I saw was irony in the report that the "Rape Sheikh" Hilali (the one who likened women not in burqas to uncovered meat on the street) and other radical imams in Australia were being muzzled by the Lebanese Muslim Association. And they are whining about it. Upon revisiting it the "Next Question" dawned on me, "Why?" Why is the association telling them to tone it down? Why do they think it is not at all necessary to tone it down? And why is this making the media? I can think of reasons that range from Hilali being "radical" simply to push attention to this unsavory aspect of Mohammedanism to get it shut down before it does real damage to Hilali and his cronies figuring they are strong enough now that they do not NEED to be polite about their intentions to subject Australia to Shari'a law. Personally the only way I could approve of their being shut down is if citizenships were revoked or nullified and they were shipped off to another nation. (If no other nation will take them then send them out 200 miles in a rowboat and let them find their salvation on their own initiative. Well, yeah, that is extreme. But why should a nation that they have reviled and attempted to subvert give them anything more?) LGF: Rape Sheikh Told to Stifle ### With that in mind the five Mohammedan "charity" operators have now been formally charged with three counts of money laundering, one count of forfeiture and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering for the Islamic American Relief Agency-the IARA. And CAIR seethes. My little parenthetical comment above should apply in the US as well. If they feel they owe us dissension, destruction, terrorism, subversion, and subjugation why should we feel that we owe them even the time of day let alone a clean prison cell. It's extreme but that rowboat does get them out of this country. Maybe parachute them into their native countries from a "safe" (for the plane) altitude so it's harder to refuse the returned defective merchandise? LGF: Islamic Charity Operators Charged, CAIR Seethes ### Truth in press rears another ugly form at Associated Press. This one is simple strategic photo cropping which subtly hides the "context" that is ever so precious to Mohammedans but only when it helps them. LGF: Religion of Beheading ### Over on the Israeli front it is reaching MSM but they aren't ready to report that Syria has positioned thousands of medium and long range rockets capable of striking major tows in Northern Israel. The AFP has this report. The Arabs are intending to make good on their promise to wipe Israel off the map. We MUST apprise them of the fact that they will cease to exist as nations of they do so - and mean it absolutely. AFP (@yahoo): Syria deploys thousands of rockets on Israel border: sources ### Yes, Robert, as you say, "You can't make this stuff up." (Well, Loren, can. He's WAY cynical about the courts after seeing some of the bad misbehavior of the San Bernardino County and its cities's courts for the many years he's lived here. He sees the courts and laws as being setup to protect the criminals. This article is a case in point for his view.) JWDW: Terror suspect allowed to take off monitoring bracelet, go to Disney World ### Abdul Kasem concludes his book, "Bismi Allah" ("In the Name of Allah"). He finishes with a summary of "Allah's mind-boggling Islamic Justice system." And it is mind boggling indeed, mind-bogglingly cruel, mind-bogglingly arbitrary, mind-bogglingly iniquitous, mind-bogglingly hateful, and even mind-bogglingly mind-boggling. (Actually he only touches on its absurdities rather than cruelties. But the cruelties are there if you start reading the Qur'an, Hadith, or Sunnah.) "Muhammad appointed a Muslim heir to a non-Muslim; because Islam must dominate other religions, a Muslim may inherit from a non-Muslim but not vice versa... (Sunaan Abu Dawud, 2.18.2906" "Citing Islamic brotherhood, Muhammad refused to marry the not-so-pretty daughter of Hamzah (Sahih Bukhari, 7.62.37), but he had no qualm in marrying the beautiful child-girl of Abu Bakr, his brother-in-Islam (Sahih Bukhari, 7.62.18)" IW: Bismi Allah 11c : Conclusion ### I don't know what to make if the potential veracity of this report. But if it is true it is very very bad. ZEENEWS claims that some top Pakistani nuclear scientists have fallen into the hands of the Taliban. ZEENEWS: Top Pakistan nuclear scientists in Taliban Custody: Zee News Exclusive ### {^_^} "A leading Canadian Muslim leader said Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, especially in the West, in spite of a strident smear campaign against the religion and its Prophet." "Ibrahim Malabari, director of the Islamic Center in Toronto, said, "There was a dramatic increase in the quest for finding the truth about Islam after 9/11, thus encouraging many people in the US to embrace Islam.""I'll die before I embrace Mohammedan's religion as seen by these Satanistic radicals. JWDW: Ayaan Hirsi Ali infuriates Muslims and discomfits liberals ### After the train bombings in Spain their government pulled all troops out of Iraq thinking that would appease the terrorists. It hasn't. The trial of the terrorists responsible is getting under way and darned if this is not causing the Spaniards some heartburn with members of "the religion of peace." Of course, this does not stop the Spanish government from being a collection of bone-headed idiots. They are proposing an undersea tunnel between Morocco and Spain - under the Strait of Gibraltar. Um, not only will that be a likely engineering boondoggle; but, if they succeed it will be a really easy way for terrorists to infiltrate Europe. LGF: The Jihad Continues in Spain ### Some of the "finest" or at least most money-making faux-documentaries are now the subject of their own documentary, along with their faux-documentarian himself, Michael Moore. His faux-documentary lies are revealed in all their glory by directors Rick Caine and Debbie Melnyk in a film which is playing March 10 at the Austin festival. It's about time Moore got a dose of his own medicine. MM: Turning the tables on Michael Moore ### This clip is amazing. I must make time to watch the whole CSPAN interview with Pamela Hess. It is just absolutely amazing what she expresses and how she expresses it. We damaged Iraq. Most of the people in Iraq are not of a terrorist stripe. But after stripping away all the law enforcement the "crips" and the "bloods" equivalents in Iraq ran rampant. Now we have to put them down so that the sane Iraqis can pull it all back together and get on with making something for themselves. It'd be nifty if we could also arrange it so that this first iteration of their government with its radicals in power can be put away along with all the other radicals in Iraq. We'd have done what any civilized people should do after making a mess. Of course, the Democrats are not civilized, at least their leadership is not, so the Democratic Congress and Senate will pull no punches trying to get us out too early for anything good to happen for the Iraqis. We can take care of ourselves. But somebody needs to help these Iraqis who are suffering so much rampant violence. HA: Video: UPI reporter gets emotional over Iraq; Update: Clip added ### Sigh, the big report that made all the main stream media seems to have been another false alarm from an Iraqi agency that has become known for false alarms. Omar al-Baghdadi has not been captured. HA: False alarm: "Islamic State of Iraq" leader not captured ### Apparently tempers are a little frayed at the U.S. - Iran summit in Baghdad. In addition it appears the Iranian state is close to a meltdown. Ahmadinejad's rampant spending, on things like the nuclear plants and his pet terrorists, Hezbollah, are even beginning to destabilize Iranian banks. Allahpundit seems to think this might be a good thing. I, on another paw, suspect this is part of the major crisis that the insane (and mad, too) Persian is trying arrange to bring the 12th iman, the Mahdi, onto the scene. "Twelver Shi'as" such as Ahmadinejad believe that the 12th imam will reappear at a time of most dire stress to the religion. Ahmadinejad seems to have been working hard to bring on these conditions, a REAL apocalyptic end timer at work. Read it all. It's your call. HA: Tempers flare at U.S.-Iran summit in Baghdad ### I've written before about taqiyya and kitman, the Mohammedan terms for what we call "tradecraft" for spies. It's time to review it. Islam Watch has a convenient pointer to a modest essay on the subject. When arguing with a Mohammedan - keep this in mind. IW: Taqiyya and kitman: Role of Deception in Islamic terrorism ### The radical clerics in Australia seem to think the time has come to force Shari'a law down the throats of the other Australians. This is a BAD thing. "One book, Man-Made Laws Vs. Shari'ah, urges Muslims not to "accept anything from their governments and rulers except sharia", stating any other system is heresy." Herald Sun (in Oz) 'Turn the world to Islam' ### I spent part of the evening watching over Loren's shoulder as he watched this month's three freebie videos from Zeno's Warbird site about WW-II aviation. I am struck by several things, some of which still exist and some of which don't. We fought on two fronts and obliterated two powerful, but resource limited, enemies. We fought with audacious tactics often thinking quite outside the box for our victories. We still do that today. (Although we're still learning how asymmetric warfare really works in today's world.) The big change, however, is that in WW-II we had a pair of well defined enemies to fight each basically located and controlled from one place in the world. In this war we have a distributed enemy that exists in every single country in the world. It, like Nazi Germany and Japan, is fighting us over ideology and religion. In all three cases the lines between religion and political ideology were extremely blurred or even non-existent. BUT, their radicals were not present in our country to any great degree. We could deal with it. The same could be said for most countries around the world. Today we are fighting an enemy even more implacable, an enemy with a nearly 1400 YEAR history of violence in spread its concepts through conquest and treachery, an enemy that cares not if it lives or dies as long as it "dies for Allah." And that enemy exists, in considerable numbers, in every single country on the planet. And it fights with very little central control. We MUST learn how to fight this. And I don't believe we can keep many of our more cherished Western ideals such as a right to privacy and freedom from governmental snooping. If somebody can offer a plan that can handle indigenous enemies who do not wear a uniform but is actively working to defeat us I'd love to know. I do NOT want to suffer Shari'a law. I do not want to be ruled by crazed Mohammedans who are worshipping a god so crazed as to resemble Satan more than God as we see God. We need to learn how to fight this kind of enemy with small and highly mobile units that can respond to trouble spots and wipe out the people who create this kind of violence. And we have to be willing to do that here at home as much as we do it elsewhere. And we need to be willing to commit "ideocide", the annihilation of a very bad ideology. (I realize that is impossible. But we must try. And we must make it HIGHLY unpleasant to espouse and hold that ideology. And maybe dosing bullets with pork fat MIGHT be a GOOD thing. They fight us with terror. Let's feed back to them some terror for Allah's wrath.) {^_^} There is today an intense battle between good and evil principles. It is correct to focus on good v. evil in this sense. But it would be incorrect to imagine that we ourselves are purely good, without flaw and fault in ourselves. We must not let our imperfection, however, detract from the nobility of the good we serve, and the horrible damage the triumph of an evil principle always wreaks.Indeed, we are all flawed people. None of us, the "good" team if you will, are perfectly good. We're all flawed, some more than others. And lest we forget the corollary, the Jihadi Mohammedans are not perfectly evil no matter how much they may look and act like it. (I must admit here that I can think of no examples of goodness they have done without ulterior motives.) The more moderate "street" Mohammedans in Iraq, however, are often very nice people worth doing something for. Maybe they will grow away from the violence of Mohammedanism and simply take the piety and other parts that resonate with "good people" while discarding the rest. Maybe over time the battle of ideals will lead them away from Mohammedanism to what I do not presume to guess. If we, in our imperfect goodness abandon the Iraqis with their mostly very flawed and imperfect evil that is virtually indistinguishable from our flawed goodness, then we will stand before God as evil men and women. I hope such Christians as the Democratic party may hold realize this. And while I may not be on sound theological grounds for this statement, I do believe a person that cynically relies on God's forgiveness as an out for doing something as heinous as abandoning the majority of the Iraqis, the good folks trying to make a living without murdering their neighbors and helpers, they may find they are trying God's ability to forgive. They will remember and feel the effects of their evil deeds as a weight upon them in their afterlife be it heaven, Hell, or something else. We all forge our own version of Hell here on Earth with our deeds and actions. And having to carry that weight for an eternity might not be desirable. God may forgive. Would I be able to forgive myself of such a sin? I don't know. I don't want to try to find out. By the way, our illiterate and stupid President is 4 books behind Karl Rove in their informal competition to read the most books this year, 16 to 20. Weekly Standard: Reader of the Free World Weekly Standard: Weekly Standard: ### And what kind of an afterlife are these young children interviewed on Al-Aqsa TV, the children of a woman suicide bomber, forging for themselves in the name of their distorted religion? Is it really virgins they get? Do they get them WITHOUT the memories of what they had done and feeling the pain of those they injured? That aside, can you see why I feel that if we do not act now we will have to either surrender or commit an utterly monstrous genocide? And it may already be too late to avoid that utter genocide. Is that genocide worse or better than abandoning the world to evil at the level of the Jihadi Mohammedans? Which will be a bigger weight in our afterlives? No way is the "right" way, I fear. But my vote is that abandoning the world to as close to absolute evil as humans can create and commit is worse than trying to stamp out that evil by whatever means, even evil means, that present themselves. A Connecticut school is having students, one presumes the girls, dress in burqas so they can experience the intolerance of their peers over being dressed that way. Shouldn't that be a lesson to show the cruelty of being forced to wear the burqa in a society that does not choose to mistreat women that way? Shouldn't it teach the children about how the act of taking it off leads to a beating by any male in your household and rape by any other Mohammedan male? Teaching students to RESPECT the burqa is utter inverted morality. That school wins today's prize. LGF: Teaching Kids to Love the Burqa ### It helps to know Mohammedan history when dealing with the deeply mystical Mohammedans. Iran's president comments about the UN resolution being "torn paper". Robert Spencer inserts some background to that little innocuous sounding statement. "Torn paper" ended the old non-Mohammedan Persian empire. The Khosrau of Persia received a demand for surrender from Mohammed. He contemptuously tore it up. Mohammed's reply was to attack. And the Persians at the time rather resembled the United States, fat and very complacent. They were defeated. JW: Iran president calls UN resolution "torn paper" ### Hugh Fitzgerald has written an article detailing 10 things we must keep in mind when thinking about Moderate Mohammedans. (These are just the first sentences of each point. You should read the whole thing to make better sense of it.) It was written some time ago. It is still pertinent today. 1. Not only Muslims, but "islamochristians" objectively promote and push the propagandistic line that disguises the Jihad (evidence of which can be found worldwide), and mislead as to both what prompts that Jihad (not "poverty" or "foreign policy" but the precepts of the belief-system of Islam) and what will sate it (not Kashmir, not Chechnya, not the absurd "two-state solution," not continued appeasement in France and Holland -- there is nothing that will sate or satisfy it, as long as part of the globe is as yet resistent to the rule of Islam). 2. The word "moderate" cannot be reasonably applied to any Muslim who continues to deny the (real) contents ... of Qur'an, hadith, and sira. 3. What of a Muslim who says -- there are terrible things in the sira and hadith, and we must find a way out, so that this belief-system can focus on the rituals of individual worship, and offer some sustenance as a simple faith for simple people? 4. This leaves the Qur'an. Any "moderate" who wishes to prevent inquiry into the origins of the Qur'an ... anyone who impedes the enterprise of subjecting the Qur'an to the kind of historical inquiry that the Christian and Jewish Bibles have undergone in the past 200 years of inquiry, is not a "moderate" but a fervent Defender of the Faith. 5. The conclusion one must reach is that there are, in truth, very few moderates. 6. The examples to the contrary are both those of individuals, and of whole societies. As for individual Muslims, some started out as mild-mannered and largely indifferent to Islam, and then underwent some kind of crisis and reverted to a much more fanatical brand of Islam. 7. Much the same lesson can be drawn from the experience of whole societies. 8. That is why even the designation of some Muslims as "moderates" in the end means almost nothing. 9. For this reason, one has to keep one's eye always on the objective situation. 10. "There are Muslim moderates. Islam itself is not moderate" is Ibn Warraq's lapidary formulation. I think it might simply be said that most moderate Mohammedans are really better described as "ignorant" Mohammedans, those who do not really know the Qur'an, Hadith, and Sunnah. There are very few real people who are educated in Qur,an, Hadith, and Sunnah and can still be called "moderates." JW: Hugh Fitzgerald: Ten Things to Think When Thinking of Muslim "Moderates" ### In case you run across Reuters special correspondent Alastair Lyon'a article about Christians leaving Bethlehem note that it is wildly biased. The "moderate" Mohammedan, Tariq Ramadan, was detained for sassing a police officer. he went ballistic after a young policewoman stopped him from going into a prohibited area. John Noonan reports about it at Michelle Malkin's blog site. The Times breathlessly reports that there have been (GASP) Six Hundred Sixty Five criminal prosecutions (only 240 convictions) of US soldiers in Iraq. They make it sound like a huge problem. Then a sane person works the numbers. 665 over 5 years is only 135 per year. 240 convictions is only 48 per year. With 140,000 over there how about the crime spree here hey? Why that's a rate of one actual criminal per nearly 10,000 soldiers. And less than one in a thousand are accused of anything. Um, what's the average crime rate in Los Angeles, New York, Detroit, Chicago, or (gasp) Washington DC? What percentage of THEIR populations are involved in crimes? I wonder.... "Yet the story didn't read "Crime Rate Amongst US Troops Less Than National Average." Wonder why." Indeed - I wonder why. MM: Sneak Attack ### Over on Islam Watch Adrian Morgan delineates some of the "officially Constitutional" Mohammedan religious indoctrination happening in schools here in the US, in California amount other places. It was the usual suspects er ninth circuit court of appeals that declared these lessons were Constitutional. It's one of the looniest bunches on the circuit courts today. Of course, they might have a point there. Mohammedanism is really a (Satanic) ideology wrapped up in a thin sheeting of religion. As an ideology it's not unconstitutional to teach it in schools. It IS dangerous as hell to the nation, of course. But it's legal. Should it be? Yeah, that is playing with dynamite. Can we do something effective before we have to ask that question for real? And the Muslim Brotherhood is one of those kinda "out there" organizations. But, this radical Mohammedan is radical in strange ways. He still thinks that the Qur'an must rule at any cost. But he also things that the only sure document is the Qur'an. None of the side documents, the Hadith (sayings of Mohammed) or the Sunnah (annecdotes about Mohammed), are reliable. And Mohammedanism must be brought into the modern world. One of the features of modern Mohammedanism is that "ijtihad", which is the use of independent judgment in matters of religious law. It was through a few centuries of ijtihad that the current system of Shari'a came to be as it is now. Then the "door to ijtihad" was closed for the last thousand year, in a rather typical precedent crazed law school manner. It froze never to change again. Al-Bana thinks this is wrong, that the door should still be open and religious law be made adaptable to modern conditions. On the other hand this complex person praised the destruction of the twin towers and partial destruction of the Pentagon in the 9/11 attacks. So while he supports one good idea he also supports a massively bad one. The latter, mostly, because it is firmly justified by verses in the Qur'an, verses that al Qaeda has included in their videos. One of his points of departure from modern radical Mohammedan is with the teachings of Sayyid Qutb, the father of the modern Jihadi movement, from within the Muslim Brotherhood. It is Qutb who removed the "for defense" part of Jihad. (Although in practice he simply adopted the stance that any thwarting of any Mohammedan's wishes or any slightest disrespect is a de facto attack on the ideology.) MEMRI has a review of both some of his liberal stances and some of his more conservative stances. It gives a background for where one of the more historically important figures in modern Mohammedanism stands. It should help understand many of the complexities we see in dealing with the Mohammedans, moderate, liberal, and radical. (Incidentally, I rather like the application of term "liberal" to the ideology, in the sense of turning away from the vast body of violent literature most of the major branches of the ideology follow.) This paper is an important read. This man is an important man. He is pointing out a road, a logic, that could bring the religion into the 21st century and make it match, in civilized spirit, the rest of the world. His start will have to be extended. But his start must be nurtured. I believe this is one of the most important roads we have today to a future without massive thermonuclear war in a pogrom to wipe out Mohammedans as they try to wipe us out with like levels of mass destruction. His approach is an approach that has been sticking in my mind from way back in high school days when I read that "this evil religion" (as I thought of it after reading the first several chapters of the Qur'an (ironically the more recently written chapters by-in-large) had actually improved the status of women and of dealing with a person's peers. If a resurgence of THAT spirit, as Al-Bana argues, can take place it may push the religion as a whole forward to a much better level on which it can compete with other religions on a civilized level if ideas rather than swords and lances. In Norway, local politician Bengt Michalsen had a tape from a surveillance camera clearly identifying two youths as doing damage to a van at a car park. He delivered the tape to the police, and months later received a note that the case had been dismissed because the police didn't have the capacity to prosecute it. According to the local police chief, the public "just had to get used to" the fact the police wouldn't spend time on petty crime. So, that means that Scandinavians will have to protect our own property, right? Not exactly. The authorities just want us to take it lying down and do nothing.(It's more like the police are afraid to prosecute. This time I happen to agree with him. The right to "free exercise" of religion is not absolute. If it was the Mormons would still legally be allowed to have multiple wives. If a religion declared it was OK to rape women who were out of their homes and not wearing enough stifling clothing that would be just peachy. Oh wait, the Mohammedans think their Shari'a law, which is simply their religious law, should trump secular law. It is time for the government AND the Supreme Court to examine the limits on "free exercise of religion." As with every "freedom" or "right" delineated in the Constitution comes a responsibility to exercise that right with care and responsibility within the basic laws of our society. If your exercise of your religion causes another harm then you should be punished for that harm rather than have your action held unactionable because it was based on your religion. Hugh's remarks are worth reading. He is a FAR better essayist than me. The new trick has the terrorists loading the car with explosives and a couple children. Then they drive to their intended target. The worst part of the whole picture is the driver and his cohort abandoned the car before it blew up with the children still inside. This is a level of depravity that could only come from fundamentalist Mohammedans. Want to bet that the drivers were Sunni and the children were Shi'ite? Or maybe it was the other way around? If drivers are escaping it might be really interesting to take several pictures of each car as it goes through the checkpoint. That would assist in making wanted posters for jihadi bombers who abandon the bomb before it blows. Hm, I just had an even more "paranoid" thought. I wonder if the men were the children's fathers forced into driving the car; and, they got loose before it detonated and at least escaped with their own skins. What would matter to them, then, would be dhimma laws articulated in the Pact of Umar, which included Christians' agreement that: This "stuff" is right out of the Qur'an and Shari'a law. THIS is what we are in for if we allow Mohammedans to overstep decent bounds in our country. If they live by our secular law and Constitution with respect for freedom for all then they are welcome.
